Don't Look Back...

Imagine: The sun beating down on your silky, muscular figure. You continue running steadily, not looking back, not even for a second. You just want to leave and it is finally happening. Finally happening. Sweat dripping down your face as you only think one thing, RUN. And you do so. Legs beating on the ground, you are not the only one who has escaped today. There are many among you, but you will have to go your ways and you know that. As some horses pass you up while others trample behind you. You all have the same goal and the same rule. Run away from that place and don't look back.
Every horse for them selves...

Plot:

Years ago the wild horses were taken from their land. The humans were cruel with their whips and sticks as they tamed the wild horse. They rode them harshly and beat them down. They were monsters and that was all the horses saw of them. They used the horses for their own joy, while the horses suffered serious pain. They would beat the horse harshly then send it off. Into a Rodeo where the wild horse would let out their anger. If they even had any strength left in them. After some time the horses saw it as a normal thing, being put in stalls and getting beat, the wild horses were tamed. At least the humans thought they were. But there is one thing I know for sure...
You can crack a whip, but you cant tame a wild horse.

The horses have wild in their blood and there is no taking it away for good. In till the day came, that day was just a few days ago. When the wild horses stood up for themselves. It only took one horse to go on a rampage at the Rodeo and break down the gates that send them all running. They ran swiftly, the pain seemed to ease away as they thought about the pain being there no more. Neighs of freedom and snorts of anger called through the town, and then there were neighs of fighting. Neighs coming from the horses that could no longer hold up, that were to weak. They fell to the ground and called for help but it may have came, and it may have not. The only thing on the mind of the horses was to run. The humans called out in anger as they hopped onto their born tamed horses and chased the wild horses. But as I said, they are wild and there was no stopping them. They stampeded forward, off they went like a bullet. Their were some survivors and some that were no so lucky.

But now they are free, and may they live on. Except, will the humans come back? That is unknown for now all you can do is run and don't look back...

This Land...

Wild Horse Area:

Desert: Most of the Wild horses land is covered with a sandy layer. You can find small patches of grass and bushes here and there but it is mostly sand.

River and Lakes: This River runs all through the land and into human territory. The river is very deep in the middle and drops off making it easy to drown, while at the begining it can be so shallow you can see the bottom. There are also scattered lakes everywhere. Some lakes are shallow enough for a horse to easily walk through while others you may need to swim. Lakes are better for young foals to be at then the river.

Small Meadows and Forest: Small meadows and forests can be found closer to human land. It is a good place to go and escape the sun on very hot days, you have to watch out for people though they tend to be found here.

Human Land:

City: The city is farther away from the wild horses land then the town and country areas. It is overpopulated with people and the horses wouldn't even think to go there.

Town: The town is smaller then the city and has less people. It is closer to the horses land.

Rodeo: The Rodeo is in between the town and the country. This is where the horses escaped from and hope to not go back, ever.

Country: The barns and tamed horses start popping up as you go towards the meadows and forest, closer to the town and city.

Personality:
Sight of the Moon is sweet and loving when she wants to be. She doesn't trust easily and has been known to break out into a fight at the first words of a conversation. She is sly and sneaks around the land, usually being hard to catch because of her graceful pace and quickness. She knows how to keep ahead when a stallion snakes her. She is stubborn and likes having things her way. She would be more then happy and someday wishes to join a herd.
History:
Sight of the Moon was just like most the other wild horse, trapped in the stalls of a rodeo. She was good though and quick on her feet so she could easily kick the humans off, or not let them catch her with the dreaded rope. She still remembers it all like it was just a few days ago, uh wait it was. She is trying to leave it in the past though and forget it. Hopefully she can.

Personality:
Lives in the Woods has a mix of personalities depending on the time, his mood, and where and who he is with. He is fierce and prepared for a full on fight when with a stallion or seeing others approach his mares, or young foals. He is sweet to a mare once he gets to them but before that he tends to snake, even though it has not yet been successful and he hasn't tried in awhile. Woods would do anything to keep everyone protected and is often like "A dad" to horses he likes. Woods has always seemed to have a soft spot for mares and foals. He actually loves nature and to just stand there and take it all in. He always has his guard on and ears perked forward, he is not afraid to fight and has done it plenty of times.
History:
Lives in the Woods was just like the others. But he has one more extra part, he was born on a nice farm with a nice owner. Un till one day his owner left the farm leaving the young colt behind with his mother. They stayed there knowing his owner had to come back, with just the grass around them to live upon and the rain. That winter when his mother died of a serious sickness Woods knew his owner wouldn't be back and he had to safe himself. So he ran, he ran from it all joining the wild ones. It took him awhile to get the hang of living in the wild on his own but he has survived. When the humans took them Woods didn't know what to do. He already had grown a hatred for humans since his left him killing his mother of starvation and almost him. He decided that one day it had to be done. So he was the one that started the rampage of the horses that sent them free, and boy is he glad he did.

She loves young foals and cant wait to have one of her own. She tends to listen to anyone and lets herself get pushed around. She has elegance in her step and can joke around at times.
History:
Sacred Dancer was born wild and taken by the humans just like most the others. She hated it and was usually the horse they used on new riders. She was always the weakest and pushed around by the humans as she obeyed hanging her head down low. When they escaped she told herself she was no longer going to take orders and she was going to stand up to herself. We will see how that turns out.

Kestrel is often quiet and underestimated when around complete strangers, but when she bonds with someone and loves them, she will do anything for them. She can sometimes come off as shy and silent, but only to those she does not trust and love. When she trusts and loves someone, she will protect them with her life and most likely tell them about a lot of things. One thing she has never told anyone -well, almost anyone- is her history. She refuses to say anything about it because it pains her so much. There was only one who knew of her past, but he is long gone. She does not take easily to rudeness, and will run away if there is any of it.
History:
She does not speak of it because it pains her so much to talk about it. Only one ever heard the story of her past, and only maybe one other will ever hear of it if she can find the right one. It hurts her so much that she just doesn't speak of it unless she truly trusts and loves you. Only then, will you ever hear about her past life.

p e r s o n a l i t y << "Take it from a friend of mine, because I don't know how I act." Miami is a very competitive soul. He will try his best to win every race and boast by galloping ahead of horses. He is also classed as naive, since he believes almost everything he is told. This brash Arabian is always ready for an adventure, keen to be out there and prepared for any strangers that step within two feet of his personal space; he will tackle, soft at first. If he feels threatened, he will flatten his ears and rear to warn them he will strike. But if they don't clear off, he will headbutt. Miami is a little bit shy when it comes to mares, and he daren't snake them or follow them. He won't even make conversation with them without them doing it first. So I declare that this youngster is one of a kind, with the cutest personality a sprouting horse could wish for.

h i s t o r y << On Christmas, Dreamcatcher bedded down on the comfortable hay inside the abandoned barn. She rolled over onto her flank and she had her foals, one by one. There wasn't too many there, just a colt and three fillies. It was enough to fulfil her dream, and she knew she had to start chasing another. She gave them odd names for the moment, until she was brave enough to give them proper names. The three fillies were named Apocalypse, Vision and Bay. Of course she named her colt Relic. When five months passed, she felt it would be a good time to give them proper names. Apocalypse was named Heroine, Vision was named Mirage and Bay was named Enchanted. But she never got a chance to re-name Relic because she died on the spot, withering to the ground in a heap. The siblings escaped, heart-broken to have watched their beloved mother die.

Two fillies had departed the group a long time ago by taking their own route, while Enchanted and Relic continued to look for shelter together. The twosome decided to hide in a hedge, but they couldn't easily camouflage since they were so big. Soon, they decided it would be best if they started to be a couple, knowing but not caring that they were siblings. As they wandered the forest, another filly named Delight was sighted and Relic began to bond with her quickly. As they fell in love, Enchanted felt betrayed as she cantered away from the twosome. Her brother was so disappointed that he had let his sister flee like that, but he had another reliable horse now.

They grew up together but every day, Relic began to wish that his sister had stayed. The mare was starting to get a bit selfish and angry, yet they still hadn't found a place to stay forever. The young Arabian couldn't blame the girl, she was confused and upset. Surely tired as well, so he forced her to rest in a long patch of grass. When she fell asleep, he considered escaping from her but thought it was too risky. In the end, he ended up staying only because he loved her. She woke up and smiled, snuggling up to him. He wasn't used to her doing this because she was always so grumpy and nasty.

"Relic, you've always been so good to me. I respect that." she whispered down his ear with her hooves still crossed with his. "But I'm different now. You can't stand me being glum, do you? I'm too old to play sweet now." Relic hadn't a clue what was going on. He stared into her eyes, awaiting more words. "That's why we have to take different paths. I will miss you, and I'm sorry. But I have to leave..."

A while after he was took into an adoption agency, out in the stables. He can't remember, but he knew he was kept in the stables until he got transferred to a house and a blanket was thrown over him. He kept incredibly still until the blanket was whipped off him and a shocked little girl stood before him, then wrapped her arms around his neck. She named him City Of Miama and her mother took him into many shows. He won rosettes and ribbons before he could run and dance no more. He had broken his heel by trying to run around a sharp corner. He fell down in the sand.

The girl still adored him. Now he wasn't a champion, he was a pet. But they had stopped earning money and they had to take him away, letting him loose on the High Moor with all the wild Moorland ponies. He was back where he needed to be, alone where he could rest his leg. All he had to do now was sleep.

She had learned to be adventurous and naive, since she's started following Miami everywhere. If she becomes clingy to somebody and they bond well, they will soon become inseparable. She had been separated from her dam, sire, uncle and godmother. She wouldn't lose anybody else. Clover is a humorous filly, she is bouncy and cute as she prances from hoof to hoof when she's excited. She would be described as sassy and bold, simply because she loves the attention and she will class herself as Miami's 'sidekick' or 'dime'. She will hitch a race with anybody she meets, she doesn't care. She is fast and keen to win every race.

history |} Captured Fury was struggling to keep his foals warm, two of them bedded down under his tail. He was upset since his last filly stood outside the barn, shuddering and shaking. She waited for her mother to return, but she didn't. All the time, her father had explained she wouldn't come back and that she was fast asleep. But the filly didn't believe him. Her dam did come back, and her sire was wrong about her. Fury strongly disliked his mother Lavender Scent, because she shouted at him for not taking care of her filly properly. He tried to tell her it wasn't his fault but she never listened.

Her mother layed in a bed of clovers and munched them before unexpectedly getting attacked by her father. He was sick of her bossing him about and accusing him of bad parenting, so he knew he had to wipe her memory. She didn't die, but Fury didn't want her to. She was knocked out before dying, since she was so weak and wounded. Fury was devastated and he ran off, abandoning his foals. One foal looked towards the filly who stood there in the snow with eyes that were full of tears. "Clover!" it whinnied, or at least it sounded like it said that. From then on she realised that perhaps this could be the name for her...

Fighting back against the blizzard, Clo trotted and left tiny hoof prints. She was following some wider hoof prints, that were beginning to fade with the snow covering it. She came to a halt where the hoof prints stopped, and she found that her cheek was gently touching the flank of a stallion. After that she vowed she was staying with him forever, and never leaving his side. Of course not literally, but she wouldn't let him run away from her. Walking together, they came to an inseperable relationship, before living in the plains like a father and child.

p e r s o n a l i t y ::; "If I say anything good, that makes me look selfish. But if I say anything bad, that makes me look like I have low confidence. Ask someone else." Nightmare is stubborn. She wants her way, and she will fight for it. That's how the brave mare will always act. Nightmare is smart and strong, which are more of her better qualities. She isn't afraid of anything, she's fearless and fights for what she believes in until the end. She is quiet most of the time, but she can get vocal. But Nightmare can be sweet and maternal too. On the outside she shoves anyone away that can get close to her but she can be really nice once you get to know her.

h i s t o r y ::; Quest For Goldhuddled up with his new foal as a human approached them with a knife in one hand. In the other, he had a sack. He stole the colt with a movement so quick, throwing it into the bag. He laughed as he heard the whinnying and crying. Quest was too afraid o fight back, he had never been the type to attack anybody. He wasn't brave nor courageous, and so he neighed for help. Out of nowhere, a filly at the age of two years old appeared. She leapt out of the hedge nearby and flattened her ears, bearing her teeth at the foolish human. In tears, he dropped the sack and fled.

Quest nuzzled the young foal who was very weak and withering to the ground in fear. The filly as beside them both, wrapping the foal up in her tail and keeping him warm. The young stallion smiled at the brave filly and thanked her for saving his colt's life. He offered for her to travel with them, and she accepted right away. They began moving early at dusk, both guarding the innocent colt. All the way, whenever they separated to hunt for shelter, the foal stuck firmly to the side of the filly. This filly was Nightmare. The two quickly bonded together, and not leaving each others side. When they were moving, they got caught by a tornado. The colt got whisked away, which left Quest crushed. He told Nightmare to continue alone, so she did so.

The same fool which had attempted to snatch Quest's un-named colt came back for the filly. He kicked her while she was resting, which caused her to trample on him and stand on him. He got through the pain easy, although a certain pain throbbed in his stomach. Sooner or later, he managed to muzzle her and pull her into the van. She found herself in darkness, thumping against the walls of the horse carriage, slamming against the windows. She tried her hardest to escape, before she found herself getting tugged out viciously. She was thrown into an old barn which had never been used before. Then she got hit by a dung fork several times, and it caused her to collapse onto the hard ground.

She was rescued by a familiar stallion. He knocked out the human, and he lay there with a bloody neck. As Nightmare got rescued, she knew who the horse was instantly. Quest was there with his colt, and she couldn't believe it! It turned out the colt didn't get blown away in the tornado, but only ran off and chased the whirlpool of wind and dust.

The two family members ended up separating with Nightmare, for no reason at all. She continued by herself, and she was glad that the messy foal was off her hands and in somebody else's now. Nothing cleared the memory of a human, but also the thought that he was dead made her happy. Soon, she became impulsive with humans or animals that made her feel threatened. She would just strike, no matter what happened.

Lives in the Woods

Woods trotted forward, his legs till pretty sore from when they escaped two days ago. He did a lot of full speed running, but it was totally worth it. The fur on his hooves swayed around and so did his mane. He had a bit of a happy to be free smile on his face as he stood up tall finally stopping at the river. He bent down his head to get a drink.
