Nickjr: I get plenty of begging and unfair trades. I actually had to hide my online status to stop people sending me trades while I was online because I don't like getting trades as most are unfair and 95% offer stuff I don't want. I do have the lowest user ID on the game though (aside from Tess who has trading disabled), so if people try to find trading partners via the members list I will get hit first.
I don't think it affects the quality of the trades I receive however, just the quantity. It's died down dramatically over the last 2 years, probably because of my tiny wishlist (it had like 3 pets before I filled it with main list stuff to help when I was trading my UR Pot) and trade rules basically telling people to go away I only want wishlist items xD I used to get 15+ trades a day before I hid my online status, I couldn't keep up since I usually didn't have time to look at them properly until the weekend. So I think everyone has a chance of getting good/bad trades, but I've only ever been me so idk what sort of things you guys get in your trade logs. I don't rant about them usually, but I do get a lot of stupid trades offered to me so you're not alone in that respect.
I think the only pet I had to do an overpay for is my green Tess dragon. I had tried before with same tier, but every time, someone said that due to demand, I had to pay more. Erm...pets in the same tier are worth the same, but they argued with me. I waited a while, then tried once more (crossed my fingers while I did), and got my Emerald Isle. The St. Patty's day dragon is now off the Advent list, but I got it by trading the Advent Tess horse (forget which one) + an '09 pet to get her.
Demand screws up a lot of trades and those who got, say the Raven dog, for x amount, want more than what they had to pay to get it. It creates a lot of hard feelings and people end up being foed because of "It's unfair to me!" messages and so-forth. It's like no one wants to follow the Rare's List (even though it hasn't been updated for a while). I still try to go by it.
What does mess me up is the worth of a store pet (minus those on the List). What's the average for each?
