I have a friend who is literally my best friend. We went on a trip together last summer. I've liked him for a while and this winter he said he felt the same way. We both don't believe in relationships before high school . A few weeks ago he asked me if I still liked him. I said yea, of course. Why. He replied because my friends keep telling me that if I don't ask you out I'll lose you. And I don't want that to happen.will it. I said no. Now it's summer and he's sort of stopped talking to me. I'm not sure if its exams or something else. But it seems like he doesn't want to talk to me anymore. But isaw him yesterday and he seemed fine. It's also akward because he's my teachers son. But that never bothered him before. Plus we're both going into high school so she won't be my teacher anymore. Any advise?

Is M your boyfriend? If so then talk to him seriously about this like, "Babe we need to talk..." But not too seriously! Or else he'd think you're breaking up with him.

I bet he's nervous that you like him and he doesn't know what will happen and maybe he likes you but he's too shy? If he is your best guy friend then you should still talk to him about this except don't use 'Babe' and just... say it differently

Well any ways Ry has this girlfriend, whenever she is around he doesn't talk, never talks with other people(even his girlfriend) and just seems so gloomy. Then his girlfriend will leave and he'll become so spazzy and fun and amazing.
Today we were playing on a bounce house obstacle course. He was so lame until his girlfriend left and then we were going crazy. Racing and talking eachother down the slide, finding different ways of going down the obstacle course. We wrestled and got many bruises and bumps, but his smile lit up my world. I guess what I am asking, does he really like his girlfriend? I know that she likes him a lot, but does he truly like her back?

Some guys, when they're serious about a girl, just get too serious in general. Scientifically speaking the female mind is made to multitask- lets us keep track of the children and still have lives, y'know? But there's no purpose to the male mind having this multitasking ability, so most men simply don't have it. If they're in "devoted boyfriend" mode, they might simply have no real interest in the outside world. Females don't really understand this because we can be in "devoted girlfriend" mode and still have a conversation with our buddies.
Now, he might just not be that into her. But you should probably ask several people about them, since no one can really look at this objectively. You're probably going to see more of the negatives in their relationship; other people might see more positives. Don't be too quick to assume that you can judge his relationship with his gf using friendship as a basis for comparison. It's like expressing length in gallons- you might be correct in assuming that ten gallons is really long or you might be completely wrong; there's no way of telling since the ratio is completely arbitrary.

I still can't believe he broke up with me o Tuesday . I mean i was expecting but still does anyone have any idea on what i could do to get back into the dating pool? Or how i could make guys interested? Or even just idea's on how to get over him? he was my first boyfriend if that helps..

But, you shouldn't jump to conclusions. You should just continue to be his best-friend until he asks you out.

Saga:....umm....like 2 or 3: Ethan
Well...now that he knows I like him it's gotten really tough. At lunch sometimes he'll turn around and look at me for a split second, which makes me feel so happy! It's ok he doesn't like me back, but I really really wish he did! I was talking to my literal BFF/Sister and she's in a cole classes with the girl Ethan likes. She described her and I'm disgusted and flattered in horrible ways.

On a worse note, he got beat up yesterday. I can't believe it! Some beast could have hated him that badly?! It gives me the chills. All I exactly did was not eat lunch that day I felt bad and just prayed.

To make you happy from reading that depressing story, he stole my friends phone and talked to me! all we did was talk About golf, school, his Parents work, what we have in common, ect. nothing exciting. im kind of at dead end. now that hes gotten beat up, he usually misses part of lunch to talk to the principal.


i dont know how to do this....im so lost and confused!

okay, so he asked me to video chat with him and i did. we talked for 30 minutes.
it was great, and he was so kind and funny. he thought i was funny too.
i just needed to say that to someone.
i mean, i'm not someone that has very many guy friends because i go to an all-girls' school,
so this was nice.
and it felt good.
and we've been texting. a lot.
it feels good. it's helped me live through the other problems/stresses in my life. c:
