Fang stepped into the house after Max, "Hey Iggy," he called, "What did you make for breakfast?" He caught the scent of something, but he wasn't sure what it was. He walked through the family room, where Angel and Nudge were still on the couch. He was tempted to tell them that they'd rot their brains out eventually with all the TV they'd been watching lately, but he decided to let it go.

Chayse looked up and read what Jacob had written. She was shocked. "Six?!" she said in surprise, raising her eyebrows. She looked at Amy as she spoke, then she finished the last part of it. "Really?" she couldn't help a small smile as she asked Jacob, "Who is it?"

((I'm not sure what he made for breakfast. Uhh... XD))
Fang's voice was so easy to identify for Iggy. "French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. Didn't really go for anything out of the ordinary today." He was back in the kitchen, with Gazzy somewhere in the area. He was sure the kid had stolen some of the bacon. Typical. "It's ready obviously," he added on for Angel and Nudge's benefit.

MAX

I followed my keen nose into the kitchen, where the mouthwatering aroma of bacon was calling my name. Iggy, without a doubt, was the best cook I knew, period. I doubted any other person on planet Earth could cook as well as him. I drifted past Fang on my quest for food, my stomach roaring in hunger; not growling, roaring. I grinned at the sight of the bacon and eggs, and---Oh, my God---french toast, then dove forward, hurriedly piling miscellaneous food items onto a paper plate. I leaned against the counter and began to eat, devouring the delicious food hastily. So, so good.

JACOB

I smiled and nodded, then pursed my lips at Chayse's question. I thought for a moment, tapping the pen to my chin as I stared down at the paper, then snapped my fingers, grinning as I wrote. "Fang," it read. "You remind me of Fang."

[Nautica]

Fang nodded and headed for the kitchen, "Thanks, Ig." He heaped his plate with 5 pieces of French toast, a pile of eggs and 6 strips of bacon. He sat down at the table and started eating, along with Angel and Nudge who had finally turned off the TV to come eat.

"Fang, huh? I've never heard of him. Nice name, though. He sounds...delightful," Chayse's tone was light with sarcasm and she laughed. She didn't know who these other six Avians were, but they sounded kind of important. She was flattered that she reminded Jacob of one of them. "Do you know the others' names?"

MAX

After my first hungerfest pangs left, I finally regained control of myself and loaded a bit more onto the plate, then headed for the table like a civilized little birdkid hybrid, sitting beside Fang. I glanced up, my eyes roving around the immediate area, and I sighed in exasperation. "And where's our precious Gazzy?" I asked, glancing at Nudge and Angel.

JACOB

I rolled my eyes, then smiled again, writing once more on the pad and paper. "Max is the only other I remember...and Angel." He tapped his chin with the pen for a few more moments, then shrugged, unable to bring any other names to mind. "Those were really the only ones the whitecoats talked about."

"Glad to hear you like it." The flock's stomachs made it very obvious when they were around food to Izzy due to the fact that they would start to drown out entire conversations with their growling. He heard more footsteps and realized that Angel and Nudge had finally come out of the living room with its TV which sounded like it was finally turned off. Of course their stomachs were growling too and he suppressed the desire to laugh. He grabbed himself a plate and stacked on what he knew to be french toast and lots of eggs with some bacon and sat down at the table, starting to eat.

"Who's Fang?" Amy said, once again being Captain Obvious. "That's an odd name." She twirled a bit of her hair around her finger, looking at Jacob and Chayse. "And Angel too. I'm assuming Max is a guy right?"

((EDIT: I've got to go. I'll probably be back in max 5- 6 hours.))

JACOB

I raised an eyebrow, my eyes flickering incredulously over Amy's face. I returned my eyes to the pad and began to write again. "Heck no," it read, and I smirked. "Max is definitely a girl...I can't believe you've never heard of her. She's legendary. She led the flock to escape, and they're the only ones that ever have, except for us."

Angel and Nudge shared a glance. Nudge quickly stuffed a slice of French toast in her mouth so she wouldn't have to speak and looked at Angel. Angel sighed and pointed towards the basement doors, "He's down there," she tattled. Fang looked to Max to see how she would react, because Gazzy alone in the basement was never a good sign.

"Wow, I really wish we could find them," Chayse said, looking down at her hands. A whole other group of kids just like her. And here she had thought she would walk the world as a lonely freak for the rest of her life. She wasn't sure whether to be happy that she wasn't alone, or worried that the scientists had ruined 10 other lives (that she knew of) with their testing.
She imagined the girl named Max in her mind. She sounded amazing, leading 5 other kids to their freedom. Escaping had been hard enough on her own, but with 5 other kids to worry about? Holy cow...

MAX

I blinked once, then stiffened, my head snapping towards the basement. I threw Fang a 'you better come help me' look and then darted up, moving quickly to the basement doors and throwing them open, sprinting down the stairs. "Gazzy!" I called out warningly, my voice worried and slightly angry.

JACOB

I smiled, then returned to my pad. Dang; at this rate, I'd need more paper very, very soon. I wrote again, my fingers quick and efficient in their movements. "That's what I've been trying to do since I escaped," I wrote, working quickly. "I've heard things about winged children here and there, but it never lasts long, so I can't find out if it's a real lead or not. It would be great if they were easy to find, but that's kind of not the point." I smiled grimly, showing both Amy and Chayse the paper.

Fang sighed quietly and got up from his chair. He followed Max down the stairs. Gazzy was sitting at a table, about to attach two cables. "No Gazzy!" Fang shouted, but it was too late.
The bomb he was working on had exploded, giving the whole house a little shake. Fang had been thrown back a couple of feet. He sat up, rubbing his back where he'd hit the concrete. He looked over at Max to make sure she was okay.
"Gazzy, are you okay?" he called out, coughing a little as dust from the the drywall that had broken floated around the basement.
The Gasman moaned weakly and held up a thumbs up before letting his hand fall to his side.

Chayse nodded as she read what Jacob had written. She looked over at Amy, then returned her gaze to the ground. "I wish they knew where we were so they could come find us. I'm kind of tired of traveling so much," she said.
