{{Okay, so the Flock is at the house that they were in in the first book, correct? And are we going to play the rest of the Flock (Iggy, Gazzy...) for now until someone joins to play them? Like not as main characters, but we can incorporate them in our posts?}}

I growled slightly, then sighed, pressing my hand to my forehead. I paused, then pulled the pad back and began writing again. It took a bit longer than last time, but I smiled slightly, then held the pad out again. "I've never seen another Avian before, so I thought I'd like to meet you. Turns out you're a bit snippy. Anyways, I've been searching for the flock since I escaped. I think it'd be great to join them." He turned his icy blue eyes to watch her face carefully, his wings slightly tense.

{{Harbor: Yeah, Max is outside on the cliff just outside of the house, and I was thinking that yeah, we'll just use them in our posts as subordinate characters until someone plays them. ^.^ Do you need an intro recap?}}

Kirose read the paper quickly, "Well now that you've met a snappy avian, go meet the prissy looking out that just landed up there." She pointed toward Amy as she landed on the cliff. "She'll probably enjoy your presence. Unlike me." She sat down by a pile of sticks and took out a lighter, making a small fire. Kirose opened the pouch and took out a large fish she'd caught and layed it on the stone in the center of the fire.

Fang walked past the living room into the kitchen to get a snack, but he stopped at one of the windows, noticing a figure sitting on the cliff. Naturally, his first instinct was to tense as he did whenever he saw an unidentified figure, but after a few seconds and he realized it was just Max, he relaxed. He continued into the kitchen where he grabbed a Hershey's bar before he stepped outside onto the cliff.
The wind pushed at his hair as he came up behind Max silently and sat down next to her. Without saying a word, Fang took out the Hershey's bar, broke it in half and held out the other half to her.

Amy noticed Kirose starting a fire, and assumed that she wouldn't be too worried if she came a bit closer. She walked over to Jacob, noticing that he had paper and a pen out. "Um, hello," she said, not really used to talking to someone. She hadn't talked to a soul except an occasional fast food cashier for weeks. "I'm Amy. I'm assuming that if you're way up here that we're... the same, right?" She glanced over at Kirose, who appeared to be cooking a fish. She looked back at the boy in front of her. "I'm sorry if I sound like an idiot," she blurted, "but I honestly haven't talked to anyone in a while."

MAX

I smiled, gratefully taking the half that he offered, biting into the sweet chocolately bliss with a pleased expression. I swallowed, then looked over at Fang, grinning. "So delicious," I said appreciatively, taking another bite. "Haven't had one of these in a looong time." I shuffled my wings, stretching them out a bit more so that they would catch the warmth of the risen sun.

JACOB

I rolled my eyes and shook my head, then glanced in the direction she had pointed, raising an eyebrow. The girl had just flown in. I shuffled my wings, keeping them half-tucked against my back, then smiled in a friendly way, shrugging. I held the pen and pad in front of me and began to write again, my eyes on the paper. When he was done, he held it out for her to read. "You don't sound like an idiot. I haven't even met another Avian before, so this is pretty cool for me." He paused, then glanced back at Kirose with a smirk before writing again. "This one isn't much company," he added onto the paper, subtly pointing at Kirose.

Kirose rolled her eyes, she saw him glance at her. "I'm not the dope who hasn't met another avain am I?" She muttered, and pulled he fish off the fire. She prefered catching her own food instead of relying on humans. Her feathers ruffled as she walked down the sand, picking at the fish meat. It was nice and juicy, and tasted of the ocean. So there's another flock, more bird freaks. The scientists really need to get a better hobby.

"Avian?" Amy felt a bit dumb. "I had never thought of that name before. I always just thought of 'people like me' or something like that." She looked back at Kirose. "I thought that might be the case. She seemed to be pretty grumpy, so that's why I didn't get too close at first." She thought for a moment. "So, are you mute then, since you're writing instead of talking?"

((If you didn't notice, she is indeed a natural blonde. XD Friendly, but not the brightest of the bunch. Are the newcomers going to be meeting up with the flock any time soon? Oh, and where exactly are we? On a cliff, on the beach, etc. I got a bit confused.))

Chayse sat out of sight of the group, behind a large rock outcropping a few yards away. She was watching them and she felt like a lioness ready to pounce. This is absolutely ridiculous, Chayse. You're being a creep. Just go introduce yourself, she chastened herself in her thoughts. She tried to get up and walk over to them, but her stomach clenched with fear. She hadn't interacted with anyone since...forever.
What if they didn't like her? She spread out her black wings a bit, stroking one of the few shimmering green and blue feathers thoughtfully. Maybe she should just wait it out...
No, this isn't like yourself, just go. What are you afraid of? With that, she stood up, looked down at her blue tank top and jeans, brushed a piece of her dark hair behind her ear and started towards the group.

I blinked, then nodded slowly, before tilting my head to the side. Wow...Doesn't seem that intelligent, he thought to himself, then shrugged and smiled before writing on his pad again. "Yep, can't talk, at all, ever. I'm sure she's fine, but she seems to have a temper that's a bit...out of control." He looked at Kirose and raised an eyebrow, then wrote again. "You have?" he wrote the question, showing Kirose the paper.
