It was way too confusing! The main character was laying down or something, and I didn't know who was talking, where she was, and what was happening. But I plan on trying again this summer after I read Bartimaeus.

I.need.motivation. Soon as I get my homework done I can read. But i'm so confused with the book......-cry of despair-

I've read Harry Potter I think 3 or 4 times. A friend of ine has never read them, and shes on the 6th book. I aslo have the tales of beedle the bard, quddich ( I hope I spelt that right!) through the ages and fanstic beasts and where to find them. I love fanstic beats and where to find them. Its amzing.

Yeah Tales of Beedle the Bard is good, but I don't have the other two

The Host, the Host lalalala. It was absolutely wonderful . I spoiled it for myself when I read 'Oh Ian, I love you so much, at the back in the reading playlist by accident.
Stayed up till gone 1:00 am to finish it. Cried. 'Nuff said.

Can anyone recommend any good historical fiction about WWII?? I'm looking for something about a British or American family on the homefront or a soldier.

WEll the My Story books are pretty good, about all sorts of historical events from other's points of view.

Thanks! I just looked them up. So, they're like the British versions of Dear America? Because I saw a few titles I recognize :'D
I'll check some of them out, if I can find any.

You might want to try the Guests of War trilogy by Kit Pearson, but then again maybe not because the main character moves from Britain to Canada to be safe during the Blitz.

Ohh, looks interesting! I just said British and US earlier because I've already read a ton of novels about the Holocaust and I'm hoping to read something different about the same war.

Anyone else read the short story "Harrison Bergeron"? We read Animal Farm in school, and it had some "Related Reading selections" included at the end (like as part of the actual book, not like a "If you liked yadda yadda, you may also enjoy whatits), so I read some of them. "Harrison Bergeron" was very odd and creepy in the same way 1984, Animal Farm, and Fahrenheit 451 are.
