Grace Evergreens ~ Experiment

Her heartbeat blasted through her chest like a boom box at it's greatest bass. Not, did she know where she laid, only swallowed in her darkness. She laid abruptly on the ground, to weak to move from the position she was thrown to. Her head positioned bowed, covering her face in the empty blackness of the shade powered by her hair. No wounds lay visible, but yet her whole body ached like she had been recently beaten.
No audio produced from her surroundings, just adding to her weakened mentality. Where was she? The though repeated in her mind over and over. The last thing she remembered was that van. Seeing it follow her, then she grew weary and darted for safety. What would become of this? What was going to happen to her next? She shuddered as she rested her head upon her shoulder. Maybe it was all a dream. Maybe...

Caitlin turned back toward the opposite wall when she heard no reply from the scientist boy. Her wings came around, encompassing her in a bluejay patterned feathery ball.
