Have you ever had a rat?: :
I own two girls.
Coke, agouti hooded, and Vodka, champagne hooded. They are about 8+ months.
Neither of them are show-rats, in terms of colouring as they have a lot of faults on their hoods.
Vodka has a broken toe, has done since the 2nd week I got her, which I feel bad about ;n; She's also sensitive to light.

Lately I have been feeding Baze and Bug a bunch of fruits and veggies along with some steak everyday.
(Usually the whole bowl is full unless I chop it up smaller.)
Do you guys think that's enough, should I be giving them something else? (They also get a yougurt drop and a pellet that's suppose to have everything they need in it.)

That sounds better than the food I'm feeding my girlie Slide XD But I have been thinking of making her diet a little more fresh with veggies & fruits. But that sounds like a decent meal to me!

That's what I thought. I was feeding them this crap seed brand, luckily I ran out and have just been feeding them the fruits and veggies In the fridge. Though they do have a problem with corn. They fight over it almost every night!
I bought them a bowl that attaches to the cage so they can't flip it today, along with a tunnel and a cuddle cup. Two rats in one cuddle cup equals pure Adorableness!

I feed them a seed mix with almost like 'dog' meaty ring things & a heap of dried fruit/corn pieces. But I do give her the occasional apple (which is so adorable becuase she steals all the pieces and hides in her box eating them). But my nan has a few possums (Bushtailed possums in Australia) and she gives them corn cobs (I get to feed them and it's just soo cute) so it wouldn't surprise me that your rats love the corn XD.
& I've got a bird cage set up so that Slide can crawl up onto a second level and what not and the cage come with the little feeder box things that you slip into the cage and is held on by the mini-doors. But that 'cuddle cup' sounds really cute

You'll have to take a picture

My boys were not doing good on that seed, they were more aggressive with each other, really sluggish and steadily gaining weight that they didn't need. Now that they are on fruits and veggies, they only fight over corn, they are much more active and they are already slimming down again.
I have a big cage from Petsmart with 3 platforms and ramps. Then I have their new tunnel down at the bottom along with their water bottle, their new food bowl is hooked in on the second playform, and their cuddle cup is on the top layer.
I'll definatly get some pics and post them tomorrow, right now Baze is running up and down the ramps trying to get me to let him out, and Bug is... Actually I can't see him right now so I'm assuming he is in the bottom getting a drink.

Yeah, See I don't notice any real difference with Slide, because she's the only rat i've got and she doesn't like to come out of her cage (she's kinda shy in a really outgoing way o.o). She'll come and give you kisses on the door, but other than that she perfers to stick around the cage or explore. She perfers not to have human contact, just be in your precense is fine (reminds me of grumpy cat, just grumpy rat XD)
Oh that sounds like a really good cage for two ratties! & Sounds like a good set up too. Slide's got a ladder up to the top later and then a perch and a ladder up to the 'attic' which is just the highest point in the cage where she hangs XD. But down the bottom we have a wheel for her (which we only recently brought because we noticed her beginning to get a little tubby XD) And then up the top she has her tissue box, her food and her water bottle (and her coral piece which she enjoy'ed' to climb through until she reached tubbiness).
I'll see if I get get a decent picture of Slide tomorrow in daylight running on her wheel - it's SOO cute. She curls her little tail up and runs and then will stop and scratch then run again XD
& Don't ask me why, but she likes the vaccum cleaner... She is currently living on our pool table (because I have trouble sleeping and a noisy rat leaves me awake at night) and she makes a mess so I use the vaccum cleaner to clean it up and she sticks her nose against the cage and tries to grab it. It's really adorable XD

Aww! How old is she? If she's not too old you may want to consider getting another rat. They really do best with company. I mean when I take Baze out for play time, Bug immediately starts cuddling and grooming him when he's put back in the cage. I don't know what they would do without each other. (Which is why I am debating getting a third so that in a couple years when one does they still have a buddy.)
Sounds like a cool cage.
For some reason Bug loves to bite my cats paws. (She hasnt learnt to stop sticking them in the cage yet) though I had to laugh when Baze bit my pup on the nose yesterday! The dog jumped so far backwards then gave me this 'Why'd you let him do that mommy? That hurt' look before taking off and pouting.
