~ the american saddlebred originated from the british isles.
~ the morgan, standardbred, and hackney all developed from saddlebreds.
~ the first saddlebred show horse was in 1816.
~ saddlebreds specialize in park and pleasure disciplines, such as hunter country pleasure, western pleasure, pleasure driving, fine harness, and roadster harness classes.
