((Kluke, Stars, Stomry, you all should go back and read the bold in my last post. Also I apologize for the length of this, should be the last long post I have to do.))
~Cecil Aijima~
Kuppuru looked up at Eru and simply nodded, giving a small meow. Cecil knelt forward and pet the mana on the head, who snuggled into his hand in response. The cat spoke to them both again. It's starting. You might want to hurry.
Cecil stood up and grabbed Eru's hand. "Come on, Eru-chan," he said with a smile, starting to run for the gym. As he brought them there he slipped through the gym door quietly, standing at the back wall and motioning for Eru to join him.
~Rylarra Moonfire~
Ry looked around nervously at the students. She smiled, though, happy to see such a diverse crowd. And...sad, to see such a diverse group. Itheria must be working both lax and hard at the same time. Once everyone was seated or at least in the room, she spoke again. Not so much in her previous commanding tone, but in a calmer nature; just a loud one.
"Welcome students, to the land of Itheria, city of Byakrus, and main campus of Khyr-Varen Academy of the Alchemical Arts. I'm your headmistress, Rylarra Moonfire, but you may simply call me Miss Rara. Now, to be completely honest... I'm sorry you have to be here. This world is a mystery to all of us, why it plucks people from their homes and drops them here, but rest assured we are doing everything we can to take you home. I wish I could put you all back where you belong, to your homes, your families, the places you're comfortable with, but I can't. And with that, comes the reason this school exists.
"One. This place exists so that those who comes here can have a basic toolset to start researching how to get back. We tell you all we know about this world, and add more as years go on, so that every next generation has more chances. Two, it exists to teach you how to survive here while you stay. Many different classes are provided so that once you can leave the school grounds, you can carve your own path, enter a profession even, or prepare to teach at this school. And finally, it exists to keep you safe during your first few years. We don't mean to limit you in any way. But there are many dangerous things here, and we do not wish to see you end up dead before you can return.
"You may have also noticed, that a creature has been following you since you started here. For a better explanation of those, let me present my companion, Naldetha, to speak to you."
Rylarra stepped back, allowing the small fire fairy mana to float above the podium and speak to the gathering.
~Naldetha Dawnwing~
Naldetha hovered in place a moment, scanning the room. She sensed a lot of darkness, and a few nicer elements, and a few rare elements. This was good, good variety. "Alrighty students, manas, listen up!" Her voice was a little bit squeaky, but she sure could speak loud. "I'm Naldetha, but call me Nal. I'm Rylarra's mana! What's a mana? Well, it's those 'pets'," she made air quotes with her tiny hands, "that have been with you. We're not pets though, so don't treat us like that!" She did a fancy twirl and flapped her wings. "Manas are the natural residents of this world. When it started pulling people in, we were confused too! But, we started feeling drawn to some of those that came here. So we've decided to work with you! We're all different and come in many forms, but I'll teach you a little bit about the commonalities, kay? We are all elemental beings, and we are your catalyst. You can't do much in this world without us! You can fight, but you will be weak, not have magic, or be able to perform alchemy! So, keep us close. You can keep us with you all the time, or banish and summon us as you please. We have our own homes too, so talk to your mana and see what they like. Treat them nicely, we're not slaves! We can fight for you, aid you in everything you do, and talk to you for the most part, so let's all have fun together okay? If you and your mana are having trouble, let me know! I can try to help. That's all I have to say! So take care~" The spunky little fairy twirled and vanished in a puff of fire, letting Rylarra back up to the podium.
~Rylarra Moonfire~
The dragon stepped back up to the podium, stretching out her wings. She hated talking for long amounts of time and was thankful to Nal for giving her the break. "A quick few notes on how this school works. There is a class that runs in the morning, and a class that runs in the afternoon. You are expected to attend full days, however you may pick which classes you take. Currently we have Magic and Combat running, but more will be added shortly. If you skip an entire week of classes you will be expelled. Skip three days or more will be a strike on your record. A full week of half days is acceptable, but two weeks is not. Attend how you please, but keep those rules in mind. As for school rules themselves, they are on your pamphlets, but I will go over them due to their importance.
"Please respect the faculty. Any violence against teachers or students is prohibited. If you are a violent person, wait til you're allowed to go to one of the nearby locations for exploration. There are plenty of things to kill here, but killing the residents of this school will lead to imprisonment. Attend at least three classes per week, or a full week of half days. If you must miss more due to sickness, let your mana or roommate deliver a message to the faculty. Before I go on, speaking of roommates. You will all have one by the end of the week, to make room for more students as they arrive. We will be watching you to decide who rooms with who, so if you have suggestions for us, please tell a staff member. Girls cannot room with boys and vice versa. Anyways, back to the rules. Leaving the school grounds is prohibited for first years, unless accompanied by a staff member or on assignment. One strike against this leads to full expulsion. And finally, we reserve the right to update the rules. Your pamphlets will be updated upon this happening, and an announcement will be made as well. Those pamphlets are like your magical handbooks, please keep them safe.
"Now I'd like to introduce you to our staff. Currently, I myself will also be teaching your Magic classes. Mr. Flay Gunnar," she pointed to Flay, "will be teaching Combat... My sincerest apologies." She said the last part under her breath. "And this is your deputy headmistress, Ala Oscura. I'll call on her now to introduce herself." Rylarra stepped back from the podium, heaving a small sigh and sitting down, thankful the long part was over.
