(Okay! ^.^;)
Amber paced her house, checking to make sure the front foyer was spotless. One of her cats had crapped there while she was out, and, for some strange reason, all the other cats seemed to take his lead! They were all elder cats, though, so Amber knew she probably shouldn't blame them for having to go and wanting to mark their territory.... But there'd been crappy stuff everywhere! In fact, it made her sick merely thinking about it.
It had taken ages to clean up, and many times Amber had nearly gagged. To prevent feeling it double, Amber had told Callie to go sit at the top of the stairs, which were all the way on the other end of the house and not visible from where she was - in fact, the front foyer, at the left side, had a partially slanted ceiling where the stairs went up - and the cat had happily obliged.
Amber now finished spritzing air freshener around the hallway and quickly headed into the kitchen, her shoes clacking on the tiled floors as she walked. Callie heard her, and practically leaped enthusiastically into her arms. Unfortunately, neither of them was very athletic or agile; Amber tried to catch her but Callie misjudged her leap and fell so low that she accidentally pulled Amber down with her by her shirt. The two sat on the floor together, Amber laughing, Callie purring.
"Well, we'd better not try that again!" Amber cried.
"Mrrow!" Callie agreed, and telepathically showed Amber a picture of how her face had looked when she'd fallen.
A moment later, the two were rolling on the floor with cases of the giggles.

S laid in bed, on his side, bad idea. Socrates bounded up, and stared licking S's face like nuts. S jumped up, eyes wide. His face was practically dripping with dog drool. He glared at Socrates, but a small smile formed anyways. He jumped out of bed, first heading to the bathroom, washing his face, then brushing his teeth. He had always been picky about being clean. He then changed into clothes, walking out to get some breakfast. S followed him, tongue hanging out the side of his mouth. He sent S a telepathic image of his food bowl. S sighed. "You pig." He mumbled, grabbing some dog food in a cup and pouring it in, watching Socrates attack it with drooling jowls. "You're going to make me lose my appetite." S grumbled, finishing his breakfast. He reclined back, staring at the ceiling. What to do, what to do... S closed his eyes with a sigh. When he opened them, Socrates was on his lap, curled up. S smiled. Who couldn't love a face like his? He sighed again, thinking of what to do. "Socrates, any ideas?" When he looked at his dog, he realized he was asleep. "Hmph." S grumbled. "Thanks for the help." He grinned anyway and ruffled his dog's long ears. "Get up." He said, shoving Socrates off. "You're getting fat." He commented. Socrates snorted and walked away.

Vanessa crouched low to the ground, her red hair had tumbled down to her sides. She held out her hand gently, with Nero; her wolf at her side. The black wolf sniffed her hand, not taking his eyes off the human or this lone wolf who was with the human. “It’s alright.” Vanessa said smoothly, and Nero barked quietly at the alpha wolf. The black wolf looked sternly at the two, not sure if he could trust them. But this female human had saved his pups from getting killed by a hunter. He nodded his head slightly, a small tilt to the left, and Vanessa gently reached out to touch his black silky fur. At first the wolf wasn’t sure, but after a quick nod from Nero, he accepted. It felt different, but ok, the black wolf decided and flicked his tail, inviting the two to his pack. Vanessa wrote down as much as she could, her pen moving swiftly on the paper, and she added small drawings of the wolves in the clearing as they walked through the brambles. She had to crawl in, it was so small. But she quickly wrote it down, getting as much information as she could. Her eyes widened when she saw them. There were four small wolf pups, wrestling in the clearing. Their bright round eyes turned to them as they came in. They jumped right Vanessa and Nero, no fear as all. Vanessa laughed as a small brown knocked her over. She rubbed the small pup, and he waged his tail on the ground as Vanessa set him down. Older wolves came from several dens and noted the two new strangers. But when they looked at the Alpha, he only flicked his ears, which was a sign they were ok, and that there’s no danger. Vanessa flipped to a new page in her drawing book and drew the pups tackling Nero. This was Vanessa. This was her life, her life with wolves.

How about they meet at Joyce's birthday party down at the stables, or something? ^.^; Or just our characters could meet sooner.... In my and Starkit12's RP that has this *exact* setting, there's a convenience store just out of Melon Beach and Wolf Valley, in another town (nameless, unfortunately XD), with a grocery store to the right of it, and *I think* a bakery to the left.... XD It's a plaza, in any case. ^.^;

Amber walked outside and onto her porch. She viewed the bay unhappily. It was raining.
Again.
"I mean, I love rain, but why must it be every single day?!" she complained to Callie. "All the grasses around the roots of the trees are pressed down, and you can see all the shimmering roots!" It was true. All you could see on the ground was flattened-down grass, rocks, and... well, roots.
Amber sighed. She sat down on a chair and swatted away a mosquito angrily. "Great. Mosquitoes. Just what I needed!" she said, in a loud, sarcastic voice. The mosquitoes were so annoying!
"Come on, Cal-Cal; let's go back inside now. Shall we?" suggested Amber, holding open the door for the calico cat. The small multi-coloured cat quickly trotted inside the house, sitting down on a towel immediately outside the door to lick the moisture off of her fur, and to flatten down the hairs that the humidity had puffed up, making her look just a little fat. When she was nice, clean, and slim-looking again, she turned to Amber, who laughed.
"Don't give me that look! No, we're not going into town, and that is final!" she declared.

Vanessa glanced up at the sky as the sun began to dim and disappear beneath the clouds. She turned to Nero and he glimpsed at Ness. Vanessa nodded; she could feel the rain on the wind. The alpha male followed both of their gazes and turned to his mate. They exchanged a few barks before turning to Nero. Nero nodded his head deeply to the alpha, and Vanessa the same, this was another one of their ways of gaining the packs trust; showing the leaders respect. The leader returned the nod and barked sharply to his pups who scampered into the den. Vanessa patted a beautiful amber-colored wolf before crawling from the camp the wolves had made. Nero followed, and shook his fur, shaking all the leaved and dirt from his pelt. Vanessa jumped onto to her 4-wheeler and turned it on. Nero was already ahead, knowing Vanessa could get caught up easily. Vanessa turned the key and her hair flowed behind her as she gained speed. Nero howled, as the pack behind them watched and they joined him, happy they had someone to help them against the humans. Vanessa laughed and mimicked the howls easily. She pushed on the gas more, so her hair whipped and lashed through the air. Nero followed ahead, his legs pumping fast and strong across the well wore path.

Amber walked into the cool house and sat down on the sofa in the living room. She turned on the TV and quickly flipped through the channels - she didn't have all that many - but decided that nothing good was on. She turned off the TV, and just sat there for a bit, petting Callie idly. She didn't want to watch a DVD... no. So, then, what was there to do?
(Writers' block! -.-;)
