So, I was looking at the adoption form today.... The "Background" part doesn't seem all that optional to me, though it says so on the form. xD It seems lately that none of the winning forms have just the "Personality" through "Dislikes" part of the form filled out, and I think the mention of the background being optional is somewhat misleading to newcomers, even though it should be obvious from the massive forms that'd be posted above and below theirs.

But that might just be me. :P Off to polish....

I'm kind of amused that it says "Background (Optional... 100 words minimum)". XD There haven't been any forms recently that I can think of that won with no background, although there have been a couple that came close. It's pretty much only optional if the personality section is strong enough to make up for its absence, but it is still possible (though unlikely) to win without a background. :3

I thought about that as I posted it, but that has to be an extremely strong and thorough analysis of personality, I'd guess, to be able to get even that far. o.o;; Thanks for reassuring me it's not a complete mistake, though. ^.^;;

Kam, I know what you mean. I had my background all sorted out in my head, and then when it came to putting it down via words... Nope... Nothing sounded right.

I usually have that problem, but I had it so clearly mapped out mentally for the fox that I had to struggle with not going over 2500 more than I did actually figuring out how to write it out. He was just so perfect for my "book" that it came super easy.
