Things felt so perfect. We had a wonderful ruler. He treated us with care, helped the poor and saved the sick. I had a wonderful mate and children, who had such great imagination. We lived in a roomy, beautiful den. We never ran out of food, and never ran out of space. But one day...our ruler died. He had a younger brother who became ruler. Things went bad...Children worked as slaves. Males locked up. And females also locked up. I was forced away from my family, my home, and my life. We always had to give him food first before everyone ate, which left us nothing. Our dens ruined, so we had to sleep on the cold forest floor. And if they found you doing something wrong...they took you away, and nobody would ever see you again...
