Damon fell flat on his back squirming in pain. A familiar metallic tatse filled his mouth, but he remained silent, a skill he had picked up from when his dad beat him. However it wasn't like he was invincible, tears flooded his eye sight and cheeks as the pain was becoming too much.

"Damon!" Charlie manages to get away long enough to block Damon from his dad's sight.
"You boys never learn to run, do you?" His dad pulls Charlie up away from Damon.
"No! Let go!"

Damon used everything he had to yell," stop it! We learn how to take crap from you, because we actually feel." He said.

"Then all you'll ever feel is pain." His dad throws Charlie on top of Damon. Charlie braces himself agianst the floor to avoid crushing Damon. "Looks like you've found yourself a boyfriend, Charlie. I'm surprised at you. Putting his life in danger like this."
"Damon, you need to run," Charlie says softly, looking at Damon.

Damon looked over at Charlie and whimpered softly," Charlie I can't, I can't leave you.."

"Damon, you have to, I can't stand seeing you hurt," Charlie looks like he might cry. "I can't protect us both."

"Then lets protect each other.." Damon said not leaving his boyfriends side.

"Aw, how touching, now you'll both die." He picks up another crystal.

DAmon looked up at Charlies father and said," why! "

"Because, I need the money," his dad says.
"To pay off his tab," Charlie murmurs, wrapping an arm around Damon's waist before leaping towards the door.
