Lucifen smiled, mounting her horse, "Yes, it was a very nice outing, thank you for coming with me."The sun was setting quickly, and the moon was already starting to peek out above the horizon. Lucifen hoped that she would be able to remember the way home in the dark, and that nothing bad would happen to either of them. Nighttime around the castle was generally safe, as opposed to the streets of Avalon where the thugs and thieves and murderers would come out to play.
Ethan
"The love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and privilege."

"Anytime," Ethan muttered, swaying slightly with the movement of the horse beneath him. They would be safe as long they stayed near the castle, but even then, he didn't feel comfortable letting Lucifen strike out on her own. There were many thieves and thugs that prowled the streets around Avalon, and Lucifen could seem easy prey to the right group of murderers. True, he was unarmored and mostly unarmed, but he was still a knight, and he wouldn't let anything happen to her if he could help it. It was his duty. As they walked, he kept a sharp eye out, focusing on the shadows and trying to hear past the sound of their horses' hooves on the cobbled path.
Bird
“Birds have wings; they're free; they can fly where they want when they want. They have the kind of mobility many people envy.”

Bird nodded as Cassia spoke. It appeared that the prince, Alexander, was going against the will of his father, and the behaviour in question seemed to involve a girl. Sparrow smirked. Ah, the damning allure of forbidden love, she thought. Of course, the old tales were all full of nobles falling desperately in love with a commoner, the two of them running away and living together in bliss, but everyone knew those stories were just that: stories. She felt bad for the two, seeing as they would likely never see each other again, but that was the way the world was. It's a tough lesson to learn, but it's probably the most valuable thing to know. When the king waved his hand towards she and Cassai, she felt her heart pounding furiously against her ribcage. She kept her eyes low to the ground as she leaned her head in to Cassia so as not to be overheard. "What now, Cassia?" she hissed.
