I used to think this guy liked me, but a little while ago, there was a dance at our school and I saw him dancing with this other girl that he hardly even talks to. Afterward he told me that he had liked her for a year...but the thing is, he still acts like he likes me. Like, he talks to me all the time, he always jokes that he wants me to wear my hair up just to see what I look like that way (normally I wear it down lol), he does this thing where he pokes me on the shoulder and then pets my hair (that one is kind of weird I must admit XD), and he sits by me in classes instead of his other friends. I'm confused...advice?

Today he said that he likes someone else now, and has been hanging out with me a lot more than normal...

I actually might be able to give some advice for this because I've been in the situation not too long ago. I could be wrong, and I don't mean for you to take any possible offense to this, but you sound like when you're in a relationship you're very sensitive to your partner - like I am, which is good, just sometimes a con when it comes to a situation like this. In my situation, what I had done to make things better is straight up ask him if everything is okay, and if he says so then I took the initiative to remain acting completely normal, and it worked for me. So, ie- skyping him, being yourself, ect. If everything is actually fine, then he'll likely catch on and you guys can get things back to normal. (: He may just be misinterpreting your quietness for you being angry with him, and probably just needs reassurance. I hope I helped!

@flaire - I suppose you could call me sensitive, which I guess in some cases would be an understatement, but I guess you could also call it scared. I've known him for a bit now and we're basically the best of friends, but I'm just nervous because he's the type of guy I could see being with for a long time. And I know I'm still young but I really trust him and if I do end up falling in love with him one day, I'm scared I'm just going to end up like his past 3 girlfriends; date for a while/couple of months then just end it without a second thought. And I've been hurt before in the past so I'm not to keen on the idea of getting hurt again.
But I know he's been talking to my 2 best friends, one he's in band with and I forgot what class the other one is in with him, and they know practically everything and I know that he's been going to them for advice on me, like how he should ask me out, etc., and I think he talked to them or something because today he was really supportive and it was as if things were normal again.
Except he was a bit more protective. There's this other guy in one of our classes who just can't take the hint I don't like to be touched and I don't like rude jokes and he kept bothering me so he, as in my boyfriend now, told him to back off and stop touching me and bothering me so we could work on our project.
So I guess you could say in all it's been a good day overall and I feel like everything is better; I just have to keep reminding myself to calm the nerves because everyone doubts we would end up hurting each other in the end. :)

A guy i like likes me! You can pretty much tell, One of my friends told me he liked me but i can't tell Him that my friend said so. His name is Matt, He's taller than me but not by alot. He has blonde wavy short hair, freckles and the most amazing blue eyes. We've been friends for almost two years. We are those type of friends who flirt and mess with eachother. We play pranks and we are both huge pranksters! Yesterday, I noticed he kept looking at me, Then he would smile and would try to put his hat on me. I would smile and say'' What?'' I don't mean to be the weirdo here, but I'm kind of having trouble not getting into a relationship. So there's this guy, j, and we talk. A lot. We joke around and laugh a lot, and I think of him as only a friend. There is literally no thought in my mind about dating him, no way, but my friend, k, came to me one day and said we (j and I) should go out. Okay, problem 1, I really do not like him like that. He's just a friend. Problem 2 he already has a long time girlfriend, l. And problemo number 3, I have a huge crush on someone else. What can I do to still keep this friendship but not make it look like I'm trying to get him to like me?

honestly, just keep doing what you're doing. if other people can't keep their noses out of your business it's their problem. if j tries to make any advances toward you, just make it very clear that you aren't interested, even if this means telling him flat out. ^-^;

I need some/an opinion here guys.

Okay, there's this girl I like. We have a strange friendship, we like to tease/insult each other jokily. Well more I insult her, she teases me. But we both know we don't mean it and we get on really well I think. We aren't in the same form and we don't hug (no time between lessons) and I really like her so I might just be imagining stuff.
This first thing was weeks ago. She awwwwed at me, multiple times. I don't know if that's just her or what or whatever but it happened. She awed at the thought of four year old me being read Harry Potter in the bathtub (don't ask) and at the fact I was bisexual and liked someone two years older than me.
Secondly, we talk quite a lot. The way we sit in maths though, she has to turn around and, though I'm not sure she fully needs to do this, when she's talking to me, she leans right back and turns her shoulders toward me. She smiles and her eyes seem to glisten a little
Thirdly, staring. Mostly, we're in awkward positions to catch each other staring (as in it's impossible to most of the time due to seating) as either I'm behind her and she can't see me or the other way around, so if this happens quite a lot when I'm in front and she's behind, that would change things. However, twice, I am sure I've caught her staring at me. There is a possibility that I've caught her other times but I'm not sure with those. The first, our whole band was in the main school hall being reset for PE. She was nearer the front than me, so should have been facing the front. I looked toward her and I swear she was looking at me. I swear. It really did look like it, she was turned in my direction. The second, we were in a different maths seating plan that we have once a week, I'm in front, she's behind, and as I was talking to the person next to me, out of the corner of my eye, I think I saw her staring or at least looking at me.
Finally (for now), we were in maths on thursday and I was commenting on how the weather was perfect and beautiful, and my favourite temperature and she said. 'That's so cute.' which was completely unexpected. I couldn't believe it!

We were in the maths room with a different seating plan today and I'm sure I saw her looking at me again. I don't know if I'm just imagining things or not. I've never heard her call anyone else cute before, or tease anyone really, let alone the adorable way she teases me. Help is still appreciated here but that's not my only problem.

I feel weird, the way I like her. It feels so strong and even though I've liked her just under two months, the way I feel just seems so strong. Every time I see her, I feel butterflys and feel light headed, every time she smiles at me, I want to explode. Being away from her really, really hurts. She is beginning to distract me to the point where my brain can not fully function in the proper way it should. I'm not thinking properly, I can't concentrate, even when I'm not in a lesson with her in it. But when I am, it's so much worse. I just want to laugh with her and talk to her and smile with her. I think I might be in love with her but is it too early to say that? I feel like I do but it seems so sudden and fast and I don't know if I am or if I'm not or what and it's scary.

Not sure if he likes me or not. It's almost asif his trying to make it seem like he doesn't I mean well he unfollowed me on instagram on one of my seven accounts and he isn't liking my photos like he used to. And my friend told him that I liked him and he texted me saying 'soo who do your like' when we were just talking. Sometimes I just catch him looking at me well I don't exactly know if he does or not.
