First off, that's not what Lupen was saying; they simply said that the human population, much like that of animals, has "population control" sort of built-in by nature such as disease, war, lack of food, etc. and not that we should try and control it. Do we have to kill wildlife sometimes? Yes, if they are threatening livestock or humans (as well as a few other reasons). Do people have to be killed sometimes? Maybe (I'm not going to take a stance on the death penalty here or war), but we can usually prevent it because we can actually be diplomatic about it (such as here) to settle our gripes instead. We can't do that with wildlife (aside from preventing it by not feeding them and making sure that everything is well protected), but sometimes we have no other choice. It's not like a farmer can just pick up stakes and move their farm over yonder just because animals are threatening their cattle, so they have to (especially with the global economy). I don't see science rushing to have us being to communicate with animals at the moment, so humans really have no way of sorting things out with wildlife any time soon.

many people seem to have that logic^^^^^^^^^^^^^ but with wolf hunters
That is rude. Well if you hunt wolves to eat them and use the WHOLE wolf thats ok but they need food they hunt rabbits because rabbits are inosint creatures and easyist to get (no affence to rabbits) and they are not called buneeez they are called rabbits.^^wolves should not be killed!!!! wolves are more important in then food chain then "buneez". Oh and some good advice if you are hating on wolves and saying bad things don't post it on a 'NO hunting wolves support ' topic don't post it on here. maybe you should make your own topic to hate on wolves on. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ BTW Rabbits are considered pests where i live and are poisoned^^
omg i liek ttly agree wit u rabbits r horribad pests and all nud 2 die before they overpapayalate n kill evrytng
WOLFS 4EVER! >:O I H8 RABETZ! WOLFS ARE WAY BETTER DAN STUUPUT BUNNEHS! Wulf hunterrz shuld like ttlydie!
i'm not saying rabbits are stupid animals and should be killed i'm saying yes they are inportant and they are killed for prey because they are a part of the food chain

I'm looking into helping save the red wolves!!! i really wanna help out!
Red wolves are just coyote-timber wolf mixes, btw. They don't really need saving; if you're going to save a wolf species, save Mexican wolves or Vancouver Island wolves.

yeah, unfortunately, red wolves aren't really wolves anymore. just hybrids which don't have much business being where they are now. however, there are some pure red wolves left.
also, something i found interesting, foothold/coil spring traps used in trapping fur bearers [but not usually wolves themselves as i do believe it is illegal to trap wolves with footholds in most/all places] actually have and do play a major role in the conservation of wolves [including red wolves in the past] as hunting them down [often from the air] and tranquilizing them is much more stressful/'inhumane' and difficult than simply trapping them. trapping them was an easy way to simply examine them and such and it would be easier to tranquilize them if needed, so they could be set free afterwards [though of course hunting and trapping itself also helps them]. i found that kind of ironic since most people seem to believe footholds are extremely cruel/inhumane [which they certainly aren't] haha.

This. I mean, if the wolves aren't harming anything or overpopulating, they should be left alone, but if you're hunting wolves, foothold traps are actually better than shooting them from a plane or whatever. They can still be used incorrectly, like all traps, but very few hunters actually are douchebags who leave the animal there for days, but I prefer that wolves be hunted using foothold traps/traps in general than shot from the air or tranquilized, like you said.

very true. though, with modern traps, even using them incorrectly is hard haha. of course, when only using them legally [as in making sure that they themselves are up to code with the laws and are checked every 24 hours]. long as the trap meets humane standards by law, they shouldn't cause the animal any harm at all during the time that it's trapped.
but what i meant to say was that traps also make it much easier for conservationists to examine the animals up close, and makes tranquilizing much easier, and the animal was often set free afterwards [and relocated in few cases], so it also helps them in that aspect. uvu

Oh, I must've misread your post, then. xD Anyways, I agree with you about the studying part as well.
