I've heard hoarders get a lot of hate, but I haven't as of yet.
And my common hoard is up to nearly 300 *Cheers*

Depending on what you hoard c: Like.... I get no hate from my spider and bat hoard, but I have a dark shima BW (main list) and a UR BW hoard in progress, and I get some hate for having main list hoards.

I honestly don't think I've ever had anybody comment on any of my hoards. I don't know if I'm just that scary or if they just don't notice me. XD

LOL! lucky you xD You don't seem scary to me, so maybe they don't notice?

I usually get it when I send a trade, they cancel with like "NO! Can't you let someone else have it for once?"
But like, I usually see people wanting to get rid of their dark shimas qwq it's not like it's a really high-demanded pet I'm hoarding.

Maybe I should be scary.

Neither have I really. I think I saw myself mentioned in the TRT a few days or so back, but no-one has PM'd me anywhere saying 'You're so greedy'.
There are, of course, the odd few who will say 'Oh, you have so many, surely you can spare one?' or something to that effect, but I think most PMs regarding my BMDs or other rare hoards are just people asking if I'd be willing to trade any of them (which the answer usually no).

I've never directly gotten any hate PMs or stuff like that, but I can tell that some people who asked me about trading one of my hoard pets ended up seriously disappointed and possibly angry.
Honestly, I can kind of understand it. Vixens have seen a rise of popularity during the past year(s). But yeah, I'm glad they kept it to themselves instead of lashing out.

I think it often comes down to how much attention your hoard gets.
I don't really 'advertise' my vr hoards; if I put a Vixen or URB in my sig, I always leave them without link, and keep talking about them to hoard threads.
But when a friend of mine auctioned off her Sunjewel to help me get more vixens, people of course were bound to notice the people who hoarded them. I got quite a few PMs asking if I could spare a few, and although I always explained that I couldn't trade them because it'd completely defeat the purpose of the auction, I believe there were still users, especially those who did not actually PM me, and just knew about the hoard, who thought me to be incredibly greedy and unhelpful.
But it quickly died down after the whole thing ended, and I only get very few PMs/trades for those pets nowadays.

It also heavily depends on popularity IMO, because unlike the vixens, my Store Unicorns, URBs and September Cakes so far got no attention at all.

And let's not forget that things change. Hoarder hate used to be far more common in the beginning than it is now.
People have come to accept it.

I haven't gotten as much hate since I've depleted my 09 UR hoard in an attempt to get a UR tiger lol

I think I just go unnoticed because my biggest valuable hoards are Rares List Rats who nobody likes or cares about and Sorbets, who, again, nobody really cares about. The others are a random Purple Toxic here or a Black Advent there that's just tucked into other themed hoards. There are the Zebras, but, again, most people don't seem too interested in having one so they really dont' care I guess. XD

There are the Zebras, but, again, most people don't seem too interested in having one so they really dont' care I guess. XD

I care for anything I don't have, especially zebras. P:
But since I'm also a hoarder, no ill thoughts are involved.

I only hoard up till 20 of each pet and don't have list pet hoards. But still, I've gotten some... unkind messages. Most of the 2009 rare hoards started out as uncommons... >_>; well duh, not my fault that I joined CS before others and had dozens of them back then.

Oh yes, this. I'm terrified that someone is going to come along and hate on me for my malk beta hoard. I started hoarding them in 2009, and people were so eager to be rid of them that I got over 200, no sweat. And now, they're some people's dreamies. @_@;;;

I used to hoard sitting lineart cats, a hoard which I started in 2009 (and gave up about a year and a half ago).
Especially the Advent cats were so plentiful that people traded them to me for low prices.
I think by the point I stopped hoarding them, I had 300-400 of them.
Not my fault that they slowly turned rare as time went on. But eh, at least they made good fodder in the end xD

What I don't get is people who refuse to trade to hoarders. I spent some time looking for some more 2011 Chinese New year pets for my hoard. I ran into so many people who refused to trade them to me because I'm a hoarder. Most of them where pets that were self-adopts, so they had basically been sitting in trade groups for 2 years. Obviously no one else has wanted them over those 2 years and I'm offering a fair trade. Is it really so bad that those pets would end up in a (current CS record) hoard instead of your trade group for another couple years?
