A New Journey - A Lord Of the Rings and Hobbit RP

You knew it was coming. You had doubt safety all along. The world was ever right, and never will be. The Dark Lord, other known as Sauron. Every mortal and immortal fears him. Even though his spirit was defeated, he still leads a small army of Black Riders and plans on destroying all Middle - Earth, or regaining control once more. Nothing will ever be the same.

People have move on with life, and life has been good. They are unknown to the dangers of the world. Most Elves are happy and peaceful, in a far-away land, unknowing the fear that still remains in Mordor, the doomed place of uncertain eternity. Will you fight the Dark power, or will you be seized by its luring powers?

This is a Lord Of the Rings role play. Most people joining are on a thread, or fan club, and have characters from the movies, or they have their own. Please have seen the movies, or even read the books to join this role play.

Yes I know everybody hates these, but please read them. They are very important and needed to know.

"Mae govannen, mellon nîn. 'Tis a great pleasure to make your acquaintance. My full name is Legolas Greenleaf Thranduilion, but you may call me Legolas.

Age?

"Age. Let's see. For the most part of this millenia I have walked this Middle-earth. I am nearly nine yén of age, but in mortal years you may say I am about 1250."

Race?

"I am very much an elf."

Tell me about yourself.

"Allow me to make this short. You may say I am even-tempered most of the time. I fight relatively well in battle, and remain to this day one of the best archers in my father's kingdom. I will respect you, if you respect me."
Legolas is a kind, relatively cheerful elf and can remain cool-headed in the most tight of situations. He is, however, extremely claustrophobic and prefers wide, open forest ranges than the caves his dwarf friend often drags him into. He does not particularly enjoy the dark, either.
For many long years Legolas suffered beneath the call of the sea-longing, but does his best to keep it to himself. His friends, Aragorn and Gimli, however, already suspect.

State to me your position.

Legolas is the Prince of Greenwood the Great and the Lord of Southern Ithilien. He also used to be one of the nine renowned members of the Fellowship of the Ring.

Appearance?

"Did you not place eyes upon me when we first met? Are you not speaking to me right now?"
Legolas is tall, with long, braided blond hair and gray-blue eyes. He is dressed in the garb of Greenwood the Great, dons a gray Lórien cloak, and wields a bow, a quiver of arrows, and a long white knife used for close-combat fighting. He does not enjoy wearing armor.

Do you have a mount?

Yes, my steed is Arod. I received him as a gift from the Rohirrim after the Great Battle. He has been a friend of mine for quite a while now, and will serve me for many years to come. Valar willing, of course."
