Monsoon is actually a happy SD despite his appearance. He loves to bring the calming effect of rain to those who enjoy it.

as eerie as someone's last breath.

Graceful,
yet scary,
storms are hair raisingly entertaining!

Short story:

It was I slightly overcast day in the middle of monsoon season, dew on the grass, thunder rolling in, lightning in the distance, a small breeze blowing across my face. I had gone out in the pastures to bring in the cows so as make sure they were safe. I rode my horse through the pasture, the cattle knew the herding routine and started in the right direction as it started pouring down rain. All was going well until a lightning bolt struck right in front of the heard of cattle! The horse spooked and threw me, the cattle scattered in all directions, I was left alone after they all cleared. I had a few bruises but nothing that serious, I did however, find it painful to walk on my right leg. I looked at my surroundings and went towards the area were the lightning struck. Upon arriving at the spot, I saw a foal, not just any foal, but one with lightning dancing on its pelt! I got to the foal as fast as I could, I had right then figured out that the foal had come from the lightning! I kneeled down, scooped up the foal, and wrapped it up in my jacket. I later decided that I should name the young colt 'Monsoon' in honor of the moment I fount him.

(he is absolutely gorgeous! I promise I would love him forever and draw more art of him if I win <3)
