It felt nice, not being treated like a kit, or pressured into staying behind because she was not fit to leave the Clan. Once their previous leader had died, and they had left their home, Silentwish felt as though she should be grieving the Clan's loss, though all she could feel was a flame of hope, burning inside her chest, growing with each kind word from a Clan mate. She was actually starting to feel like she belonged, and no longer feared the fact that if she were to die, no one would mourn the loss. She smiled as Swiftstar touched her muzzle to her pelt. Although she was not mothering her, she knew that their new leader would always be there to turn to. Filled with pride, she turned tail and bounded toward Scarletflower, nodding, to signal that it was ok for them to leave.

The snow white tom narrowed his eyes at the young she-cat, watching her with great suspicion. Not matter how hard she tried to hide how tired she really was, it was more prominent than the hairs on her pelt. The large tom sat up straight, the tip of his tail and ear twitched, his gaze remaining narrowed. What has she been up to? He ponder, a dark mist clouding his mind. What has she been doing, in order to be so tired? With a small sigh, he shook his pelt vigorously, before returning to his stern seating position. The tom towered over the she-cat, absently mindedly flexing the muscles in his broad shoulders. He was not built to be a medicine cat, that was for sure, but sometimes fate had a funny way of changing a situation. "The river is too far away," He pointed out suddenly, slightly annoyed by the fact that she hadn't been paying more attention to how far they had really come. "Plus," He muttered, fighting to keep his stern expression from turning into a scowl. "Most of the traveling herbs are a flower, and if not, a shrub. You'd have more luck finding them inland." With another small sigh, Ashenfall parted his maw to make some sarcastic comment, though bit his tongue. He had to remind himself that she was not as experienced as he, and with the traveling herbs, the only time she really dealt with them was when handing them out to other cats. "As for the water," He continued, hauling himself up onto his large paws, "There will be a stream not far away. Otherwise, you'll just have to put up with the 'mossy water'"
