I walked slowly, sniffing the air, there was a pack nearby I could tell. My stomach rumbled, and I thought it couldn't hurt to take just one rabbit. I walked into the territory, my ears pricked, always alert for danger. I could hear wolves nearby, and went to move away, so they wouldn't hear me, but I managed to step on a stick in my attempt, it's crack ringing in my ears, as I froze, listening for sounds that would indicate the wolves had heard me.

he heard somthing but couldnt tell if it was a tree or a wolf over the loud sounds of a storm

A crack of thunder made me move, I'd never been fond of storms. I yelped as I saw a flash of lightning, suddenly no longer caring about the other wolves, asi passed them in my rush to hide.
