They are so addictive! How can you still only have 3? Lol
How many are you planning on having on your 110G eventually?
The way of the Jedi has taught me to have self restraint in the pet store. OOooommmmm XD
Its helps that my QT has my snails and those bugs still. -.- Plus I am waiting to see if Kyro is stunted.
I will have about 7 in the 110. Each gets 15 gallons. I plan on adding a Veiltail,Crown pearlscale, maybe a Pompom and if I can find an adult panda Oranda Ill have that too.

How many tanks do you have: I have two, but one is waiting to be filled.(Not with fish, as it turns out. Instead with an axolotl ^^)
Type of fish that you have: Betta as of now.
Your fish's names: Sassafras
How long have you had fish: I got my first fish...ehh, 6-7 years ago? They last of those fish unfortunately died around 6-8 months ago. My Betta is very new, I got him on Earth Day.
Also if you have pictures of you fish we would love to put a link to them next to your name! If you have a tank with a lot of fish you are welcome to just put a picture of your tank. Please do not post the pictures on the actual forum since they do take up space; just the link will do! I will add some later. ^^
Hey everyone! I'm getting back into fish again and I thought I would join this thread. I recently got a betta for Earth Day, mainly because my school was looking for reusable ideas that they could display on that day. I've used an old coffee pot and cleaned it up a bit, and my betta Sassy seems to be doing just fine. I'm excited to join the discussion. ^^
Though they aren't exactly fish, would it be 'against the rules' to talk about axolotls? They seem similar enough, and I'm getting very excited for my baby that I'm going to get soon. I'd love to give updates and all that if anyone is interested. :3

Dakotak - I'm curious. Why are you waiting to see if Kyro is stunted? Are you worried that he is? Will that impact your decision on stocking? How will you figure that out?
Lots of questions... guess I'm just kind of in the 'figure out ALL the stuff' mood today. xD

Well if he is I cant really do anything about it. But If he is I might add another goldie in since his bio load won't be as big as a full grown goldfish but it just depends on how much ammonia I see with 7 goldfish.

Two things.
One; My friend just rescued a sturgeon. Hopefully he can release it or give it away to a bigger tank before it grows big, cause they grow HUGE!
Two; Since I have decided on getting Cichlids, I would like any advice on ones I should get, since I've never dealt with Cichlids before. So, I would like Dwarfs only, or ones that don't get very big since it would only be a 30gal. And ones that aren't too aggressive. I've been trying to do my research, but any extra info is helpful

Oh god sturgeons.
(also if sturgeons go any length of time in water that isn't really cold they die)

Chiu wrote:So I got some cherry shrimp a little while ago thinking they'd be fine in my community tank. Turns out I was wrong. My biggest swordtail is enjoying what I think is the last one at this moment. And I'm pretty sure the other deaths are her fault too.
Shame because those little buggers where quite expensive. :/
Anyway, any shrimp you guys would suggest that's better for my tank?
Thank you. <3
Ghost shrimp, maybe. They're transparent, so they're harder to see. The only problem being that they are often sold as feeders, so, generally speaking, most won't live long.
