"Thank you," she replied with a soft smile. "But be warned, I'll be here a lot in the future, and I'll probably take you up on that offer. Considering Rena and Tristan are going to be worrying their heads off over her wedding." She looked back out the window and sighed, this time a little less sorrow and a little more happiness. "Will you try something for me?" she asked turning back to him. "It's something that Aiden showed me."

She listen at what he had said.
"Ah.. the art of distraction." she smiled "Very handy indeed, not?"
She kept her gaze onto him and no where around her wondering what his response will be.

Victor nodded slightly "yes, very helpful indeed" he smiled and tilt his head "but m'lady, what are your talents?"

Tyler nodded. "I'll be there for you, Princess." he replied. He knew it was common knowledge to know Princess Serena worried about everything, and Tristan just wanted everything to be alright. He nodded in respond to her question and looked at her. "Of course, Princess. What do you want me to try?"

"Just look out at the darkness," she said with a smile. Now I finally remember Aiden's words, she thought happily. "What do you see?" She herself looked out the window and smiled at all the potential answers that could come from this Knight of Avalon. Perhaps a new friend, she thought looking back at him.

Remmington :: Eldest Prince :: Avalon

Remmington simply stared at his younger brother, unable to decide how he should react to this situation. Something had to be done, as he was the eldest, and it wasn't exactly a good 'look' for Avalon with a plain maid sitting at their table. He cast a glance over at the Elyadon side of the table, looking at the empty seat where Prince Aiden would have sat. Remmington thought for a moment, drumming his fingers lightly on the table. His mother had already left, which was not a good sign. The only thing keeping himself and his father from leaving was the fact that they must be gracious and courteous to their guests. Deciding that he had best do something soon, Remmington stood, facing his brother, "Alexander, Prince Alexander, why is it that you bring this lady to our table? This is a dinner meant for royalty on the sole purpose of business and grieving, and at any other time, I would welc
ome her." Remmington gestured out with his hand towards the guests, making a sweeping motion, "As long as no commotion is caused, she may stay, but if anything goes wrong..." Unsure of what to say next, Remmington let the 'or else' hang in the air, and hoped his brother had gotten the message. He received a nod of approval from his father, who looked very upset and bothered.

"My name is Feyhladren Smith, but you may call me Fey if it's too much of a mouthful." He told Maria, smiling gently. Sensing her unease, he picked up the pace a bit. They were almost to the kitchens, and he could smell the delicious scents of scones and tarts and freshly ba
ked bread wafting down the halls. Fey's stomach growled quietly, causing him some discomfort. If he we're
e by himself, he would have ran to the kitchen and ate everything in sight. But the company of a lady dema
nded politeness, nothing of which Fey was short of.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Sir Feyhladren." She said with a graceful smile. It p
robably wouldn't be polite for her to use his nickname. When they reached the kitchen she blushed a little since a few staff members cast her uncertain glances. She gently slipped her arm away and folded her thin hands in front of her. "Is there anything I can get for you?" she asks. It is her job after all to attend to the castle inhabintants.

Tyler moved his gaze to the window and looked out of the window, frowning slightly as he watched the darkness. "I see the kingdom of Avalon. Scared people. They're scared of war and to loose people. Tired people, people who are tired of fighting for something which seems useless. Sadness... Sadness for the fallen prince of Elyadon. Though I also see the light. Soon there will be a warm Eldea. People won't have to fear the knights anymore. Everything will get better. There will be hope, and a new era of peace. A stronger kingdom, a kingdom which will be united and fight against everything evil outside of this gate..." he replied quietly to her. "That's what I see."

Arabella listened to him, awed by his response. "You have great things ahead of you," she said softly once he was done. "The darkness reads us just as much as we read the darkness, Aiden said once. What you see reflects you, past present and future. Your hopes and dreams and nightmares." She looked out the window herself and closed her eyes for a moment. "It's the best way to learn about a person," she continued, tears building in her eyes at her brother's memory. "Aiden used to do it with everyone he could. We'd sit in the window every night, and he'd always ask the same question. I never got to give him the right answer."

"It is nothing more as a knight's mind." Tyler replied quietly, watching her for a moment. "None of the answers given are wrong. It is all about perspective. Your vision will be flooded by memories of the days. You can never give a wrong answer, Arabella. People change. Visions change. And there is nothing wrong with that. Without changes this world would be boring."

"Yes but my perspective was always skewed," she lamented. "I never told him all my hopes and dreams; I always thought he would laugh. But I was young and stupid, too stupid to see that someday things have to change and that very rarely do you actually get your wishes." She looked back up at him. "If I had just one more night with him, one more chance to look out the window and tell him what I see," she sighed. "I know I could give him the right answer. The real answer."
