I'd say they are both wonderful trades

Don't give out false advice, both are unfair to you.

First seems fair to me. Going by C$, the horse is worth maybe 30C$ while the store pet is around 22C$. Every uncommon probably goes for 5-10C$, so it seems like overpay on their side.
