Damon sighed heavily. Letting the silence settle in between them for a moment before saying,"I'm sorry.... for whatever I did....YOu didnt seem to pleased when you left. "he mumbled.

Marx wakes to the sounds of barking dogs.

"I don't like it when people laugh at me." Charlie says.

"I-I wasnt laughing at you, I-I mean I was, but I just... I just thought your voice was adorable, and I laughed....in a good way." Damon attempted to explain himself, however he felt as if he had only made it worse.

"I wasn't being adorable," Charlie says. The apple lands on the floor. "I was thinking of my aunt . . ." his voice cracks and he stares at the table. "You need to be able to read voices. Examine them. If a voice cracks or breaks off that's sadness, that's not something to laugh at."

Damon sat back, looking down at his lap, where his hands now sat too. He was such a screw up and he knew it. Charlie was simply confirming it like many others had before him. "I-I'm ignorant and retarded I know.... Sorry I'm not perfect Charlie." he stated not once looking up at the boy. Falling into submission under him in the familiar routine he had learned ages ago.

Charlie gets up and sits by him, wrapping his arms around Damon and pulling him close. "You aren't retarded." He turns Damon's face towards him. "You just need to learn to be more sensitive to things like that. If anything I over reacted, it was just a scrape."

Damon sighed as he felt Charlie's arms around him." Charlie your right though, I shouldn't have laughed. Don't make this your fault." He said looking up at the boy. Unable to really stay any single emotion while looking into his soft blue eyes. In all honestly he was quiete jelous of Charlie's features. Not only that, but the simple fact that he believed Charlie when he said he wasn't restated was something he was astonished by. Everyone, even his teachers ridiculed him for his dyslexia, and habit of acting before thinking. How was it Charlie would see past that.
