I think it was a waste to bury the animal. It could have been used.

That doesn't mean I agree with it's death, however.

Wolves are already endangered; they don't need population control. They'd be fine without humans, in my opinion, if we didn't take their land and food.

Wolves aren't endangered... They are of least concern and actually are overpopulated in parts of Canada and the United States, like Alaska.

Alaska, sure; there's a ton of them in Canada as well. Places like Montana and Wyoming, though? The wolves have just barely made a comeback there, and already a minimum of fifty have been slaughtered. It disgusts me.

Did everyone head about the Alpha female from one of Yellowstone packs? She had a collar and everything, but just on the park's borders she was shot in cold blood and left there. One of the most disgusting things I've ever heard.

That was poaching, was it not? Poaching and responsible hunting are two different things.

I, Snivy27, will dedicate myself to helping wolves have a better future. I swear to give my all in protecting these beautiful creatures, and will help in anyway I can.
I have gone to Yellowstone twice and sadly never seen a wolf.I really wanted to and will probably never get to go to Yellowstone again. I am crying now.

Many people say wolf hunting is fine... Think of Yellowstone.
Wolves were gone there, and things started to callaps.
What about other places? As Zima said; "Places like Montana and Wyoming, though? The wolves have barely made a come back there, and already a minimum of fifty have been slaughtered. It disgusts me." I completly agree!
Hunting in overpopulated places, and only overpopulated places is fine. But only, I said only overpopulated places.

And think about the wolf. Don't you have a heart?

One time a thought, merely thought about actually hunting a wolf...
I'd watch and wait, a rifle in my hand. And as I pull the trigger, the wolf would flash a glance at me before it life ended... Before it had been living peacefully in the forests. Enjoying the wilderness. And then it's dead, all because of me...
And that mere thought made me pretty sad.

Is it really about the benifits or downsides? The reasons?
No, it really shouldn't be.
I love wolves, and I love all of nature. Heck, alot of nature I've never even seen. One time I was on a bus ride and I saw a forst, all chopped down and dead. It was horrifying. I would hate to see a part of nature die, weather it be a moose, a tree, a wolf... I just love it, and to see a dead wolf, even a wolf's pelt... it hurts.

And wolf hunters, I know you don't feel this way, but I do and so do someother people.

I have big heart. I don't care about benifits or downsides, I just care about what I feel inside.

Fun fact: The wolves are actually screwing up the Yellowstone ecosystem due to the fact that they've become overpopulated there.

and hunters do have a heart as well. we all 'have a heart', some of us just don't see eye to eye on things, which is understandable. we all have opinions and agreeing to disagree is really the only thing to do.

and like suparrnova said, the yellowstone wolves are kind of screwed when it comes down to it. they also don't even fit into the ecosystem in the first place as i do believe they were not the type that were originally there, though correct me if i'm wrong.

edit; ah, i found this article again and i'd recommend you all read it - it's really quite interesting.

@ *TheBlackParade* - that's actually really a big waste, and is illegal in quite a lot of places. poor wolf died for nothing! :c

I am joining because I am obsessed with wolves. My brother hauled in a black wolf one time, and I almost cried. We burried her in the back yard because I wouldn't let my brother keep the pelt.At least she returned to the earthy ground.

Wolves are not furry people. You could say apes are "furry people", but they still don't have the same mental abilities as we do.

That's extremely wasteful... It's actually ILLEGAL to kill an animal and just leave it. I'm pretty sure bringing her to your home is legal as long as you don't waste it. But you could have at least let your brother do the PROPER, HUMANE thing and use what he had killed -- pelts, organs, bones, etc. Killing something and then doing nothing with it is disrespectful and irresponsible in my opinion.

I would like to help.
Here in Tassie, the thylacine is an extinct species, I'd hate to see wolves end up like that.
