i know they might mean well, but when people tell me that my art is 'so much better than theirs' on a regular basis it really strikes me the wrong way. i then feel like i should not have shown them my art, because they'll feel bad about their own. i have been drawing for a while, so i will probably have a higher skill level than someone who is just starting, so why put your own work down just because someone is more advanced than yourself?
