Emma grabbed her basket of berries, trailing behind the two with a minuscule smile. She was extremely excited to see other people, whether or not they would be hostile. She looked ahead at the boy, asking, "What's your name?" with a distant and quiet voice.

"Chase...you?" he said a bit uncomfortably. He saw Dean, Zoe and Clem a few yards off and was surprised at how far he had strayed from them. He heard a 'scratch scratch' as about six walkers shuffled up to them. Chase unsheathed his blade, driving it deeply into one's forehead, and its moaning ceased as it dropped. "Do you have a weapon?" He asked Emma, getting in front of her.

"Emma," She said indifferently. She heard the walkers and spun around, her eyes widening with fear. She set the basket down in a hurry, fleeing behind him and maintaining a good distance. "I have a gun," She said with a trembling voice, pulling it out of her pocket and attempting to aim it.

"Then use it." he snapped, his blade getting stuck in the neck of another. He strained with all his force to complete the cut, the head rolling at his feet. One reached for him, and he could smell its disgusting, rotting flesh odor as he ducked under it and drove his sword into the back of its head.

Emma fumbled with the gun, shaking as she pulled the trigger. The bullet grazed the walker's shoulder. She scolded herself, shooting again as the bullet lodged itself in its skull. She was surprised; it usually took her three tries to actually kill the thing. She aimed at another one and fired, slightly more relaxed than before. She hit it square in the upper ribcage, but dismissed it when she realized Chase had already impaled it.

"You're not a very good shot, are you?" he turned towards her, grinning to show he was more or less joking.

Emma forced a small smile, saying, "Not particularly. I don't really use this thing." She usually hid well in trees, where the walkers were either oblivious to her presence or struck by one of the many rocks she would bring into the tree with her. She tried not to use her gun — every time she did, she'd have to run away.

"Well, you should learn how to use it better." once they were all dead, he sheathed the blade, tired. He didn't really like guns, they could jam. Blades were a survivor's best friend, if they wanted to be sure they wouldn't have a misfire.

"I know," She admitted softly, placing the gun back in her pocket. She looked down at the berries, sighing when she realized they were both knocked aside and layered with blood. She turned around and looked into the distance, noticing a few other people. "Is that your group?"

He nodded. "Zoe and Dean, the oldest, are talking to some girl. Clem, the youngest and I were waiting by our car for them." he said.
