Silentpaw gave a small, shy chuckle. "Thank you." she said to the she-cat, her paws shuffling on the ground. I feel like I have a vague memory of her, she thought to herself. I probably knew her as a kit.

Cardinalswipe sighed with relief, and turned to watch as the cats gathered for the vigil. "Circketpaw and I must go clean ourselves," He told his younger brother, "We'll be back soon." He hauled himself back up onto his tired paws, and led Cricketpaw through the entrance, and down to a small stream. As he got far enough into the water for it to be up to his chest, he spotted two flame coloured cats playing not far down. "Hello?" He called to them.

Yuccapaw continued to smile softly, and then turned back to her brother as she watched Cardinalswipe and Cricketpaw pass them. "I'll be back soon." She told them, before bounding after the toms.

Koipaw went to object, but before he could, Yuccapaw was gone. Just like the first time. He sighed, and turned his gaze to Silentpaw, "Let's go get your brother." He mewed quietly.

Fireleaf stopped playing immediately, and looked over at the cat that called to them. "Are they Blaze Clan?" He mewed quietly, voicing his question.

Firefly shurgged. "We should asked them." She meowed.

Cricketpaw looked at them.

Slowly and cautiously, Cardinal swipe followed the bank towards the pair, and as he did, so did the larger of the two, a tom. Once he was close enough, he noticed the young warrior. "Fireleaf!" He greeted, "It's me, Cardinalswipe."

Instantly, Fireleaf knew who it was, and greeted his old friend. "You're alive!?" He exclaimed, questioningly. Cardinalswipe nodded, "Yes, we all are, but that's not important at the moment. You need to get back to camp, both of you." He told them, looking at Firefly also, "Both Silentgaze and Darkstar have died." Fireleaf's eyes grew wide, and he nodded. "Come on." He told Firefly briskly, and leaped from the water. I'm such a fool! He thought with annoyance, I should've stayed with the Clan, not playing with Firefly!

Firefly eyes widened, "oh my!" Shemeiwed then up out and raced back to camp.

Fireleaf raced toward camp, staying by Firefly's side the whole time. He ignored the cat's by the entrance, and pelted in, coming to a skidding halt to stare down at the distraught scene. "No..." He whispered painfully.

Once they left, Cardinalswipe felt a pang of pity for the cats, though continued to wash himself, followed soon by Yuccapaw. Once they had finished, they got out of the water and shook their pelts dry, glad to see them clean again; and padded towards camp once more.

"It's great to be back home.." Cricketpaw meowed happily.

"I didn't know them but I feel your pain." Firefly meowed. Had Rain did this?

Yuccapaw nodded in agreement. Although it wasn't exactly the welcome she was expecting, it was good to be back with the Clan.

Fireleaf sighed, absent mindedly pressing his head to her pelt. He'd already lost Mistystream, who was like a mother too him, and although he wasn't close to these cats, they were just like family. "I just hope that this is it..." He pleaded, as if talking to Star Clan, "Surely they wouldn't take anyone else?"

Firefly looked at him. She watched out the coner of her eyes the sun setting. "I bet they won't."

Cricketpaw nodded. On his jonery to get Yuccapaw, he had grown 3 moons older. He was 12 moons now.

Fireleaf sighed, pulling his head away from her. "They better not..." He agreed, following her gaze over to the setting sun. "I'm going to go sit vigil," He told her gently, softly nuzzling her shoulder, "I'll see you later?"

Yuccapaw stayed beside Cricketpaw, looking down at the camp. Cardinalswipe had already gone down to Darkstar's body, not caring about prey any more. "Would you like to share something?" She asked timidly, looking at the fresh-kill pile.
