Yuccapaw nodded feebly, not really wanting to the two tom's sides. What if the Clan doesn't recognize me? She thought worriedly, What if Koipaw doesn't recognize me? Slowly she got to her paws, but as she did, a heavy lump landed on her back, and claws dug into her pelt. She let out a yowl as her attacker's thorn sharp claws pierced her skin. "Help!" She yowled, trying to throw the cat off.
Immediately, Cardinalswipe was over Yuccapaw, and sent the attacking cat flying back with a swipe. Quickly she scrambled on her paws, trying to find her balance. As she face the cat, she noticed that it was a young tom from his build, and his pelt was a snow white, covered in soft orange patches, and now a small smear of blood. Her eyes grew wide, and she took a step forward, "Koipaw?" She whispered hoarsely, as if the strain of her journey had finally caught up with her.
Koipaw relaxed slightly, watching the rogue. It sure didn't look like her, but he'd know that soft mew from anywhere. "Yuccapaw?" He whispered, watching the she-cat carefully. A smile crept over the she-cat's face as she repeated his name, and flung herself at him, purring and rubbing her maw against his. "Oh Koipaw! How I've missed you!" She mewed lovingly. Koipaw stood stock still, shocked. His sister was now taller than he was, and stronger, too. Her scent was no longer milk-scent sweet, but tasted bitter a constantly changing forest floor. Eventually shaking himself out of it, he began to purr, for the first time since she went missing, and smile appeared on his lips. "You're back!" He exclaimed happily, forgetting about the other cats as he reunited with his sister.
Silently, Zinniapaw followed Scarletfeather and Silentgaze from the medicine cat den, to the center of the clearing. She helped set up the limp she-cat's body nest to Darkstar's, and then lay next to her, her nose in her mentor's neck fur.
