Yuccapaw's eyes widened in horror at the state her Clan had gotten to. Instinctively, she pressed her pelt against Cricketpaw's for comfort.

Zinniapaw nodded, trying to smile comfortably. Zinniapaw's ears pricked, and her eyes grew wide, "Silentgaze, no!" She yowled, speeding into the medicine cat's den. She came to a halt, and stared at her mentor's lifeless body, the closest thing she had to family. "No!" She repeated, burying her nose in Silentgaze's fur. She then took a step back, and checked the she-cat. The fur around her maw was stained a with a dark shade of maroon, and slowly her gaze fluttered to a small pile of berries. "Death berries..." She breathed, mortified. She knew that Silentgaze hadn't been too happy lately, but why this? "Oh Silentgaze!" She wailed, reburying her head in her mentor's pelt.

Silentpaw's throat tightened as she caught up with Koipaw. "There's... Blood. And--' she said, and heard the sharp yowl from the camp, followed by cries about Silentgaze, the medicine cat. "Oh no."

Koipaw spun around to face the other apprentice. Unlike her worried expression, his was one of confusion. "Darkstar? Silentgaze?" He thought out loud, "What in the name of Star Clan is going on!?" He turned a fled from the pool of blood, pelting toward camp. As he came to the entrance, three large figures stood at the entrance, their pelts unkempt and scents of a far away land. "Intruders." He hissed quietly, warning Silentpaw.

"Silentgaze.." Scarletfeather meowed sadly. She put her tail on the appretinces back. "There there.."

Cricketpaw stared in horror. He felt Yuccapaw's pelt on his pelt and looked at her.

"She..." Zinniapaw muttered, unsure of what to do. "She can't leave me..." She complained, tears threatening to roll down her cheeks. "I haven't learnt everything yet... She can't leave..."

As soon as Cricketpaw looked at her, she realized what she had done, and pulled away, looking at her paws. "Sorry..." She murmured, not daring to look up at him.

Cricketpaw smiled. "Its fine." He meowed. "I quite enjoyed it, atually."

Scarletfeather looked down at her. "She will teach you the rest in your dreams." She meowed.

Silentpaw could feel a lump in her throat. She choked to fight back a squeal. "But why?" she murmured under her breath, then noticing Fallenpaw was still gone. "Oh my... Fallenpaw." She whispered very quietly. Her black pelt silhouetted against the tree, she shifted, looking at the unkempt rogues.

Fallenpaw took no heed to the commotion, not noting a thing going on. The white areas of his fur shone from the light, and the black ones were like shadows. His gray eyes narrowed as he remembered his sister, all emotion gone. "Silentpaw!" he yowled, running back to the training area. "Im sor-" he began, but then noticed she wasn't there.

Zinniapaw lifted her head, staring up at Scarletfeather with a mixture of hope, disbelief. "I hope so..." She mewed quietly, shakily getting to her paws. You have a job to do... She told herself, You're Blaze Clan's medicine cat now. Slowly she grabbed the same herbs that she did with Darkstar, and rubbed it over the she-cat's petite body. "Let's place her in the clearing for the rest of the Clan to sit vigil with her." She whispered, gently nudging Silentgaze as if her final attempt to wake her from her slumber.

Yuccapaw began to blush, avoiding eye contact. "Thanks..." She mewed softly in fear of embarrassing herself.

"We'll go back for him after," Koipaw told her quietly, "If these rogues are the reason for all of this death, we need to stop them." Quietly, he rested all of his weight on his haunches in an attacking position that looked a lot like the hunters' crouch, ready to leap at the intruders.

"Now, why dont you go and look for Koipaw?" Cricketpaw asked.

Scarletfeather nodded. She dragged Silentgaze out form the medicine den.

Silentpaw gave a small nod, her icy eyes bright against her black fur. She managed a short yet low growl, which eventually was cut off by a slight cough from holding back the lump in her throat. "I... I can't do this." she managed, dropping her head and looking at her paws. Her eyes narrowed slightly.
