With a small flick of her tail, Silentpaw's eyes locked on her brother as they stood side by side. She gave him a curt nod, her paws planted on the training area ground. "Ready, brother?" she asked Fallenpaw. She dropped into a crouch.

Fallenpaw's eyes glittered mischievously as he crouched too. "Always, Silentpaw, or have you forgotten?" He smirked, looking his sister in the eye.

Brighteyes nodded, realizing the sense behind her report. "And I'll fetch some more more cats to search the other side." She added, politely dipping her head. When she looked back up at the loner she-cat, with a flick of her tail, she signaled for another cat to join her. Pressing themselves against the loner, the flanked her to the back of camp, and into a small crack in the rock-face, big enough only for a nest. She nudged the she-cat inside, and then took a seat outside the entrance with the other cat. "There should be a moss ball near the back," She commented, "It is drenched in water. That should be enough for now, until Scarletfeather finds our leader."

Russetleap enjoyed the feeling of her mate's touch, now that she needed it most. "Hush," She mewed softly to Thorntail, breathing quietly in his ear so that only he could hear. "We don't want her to run off again. Let her come around on her own." She then nuzzled his cheek, and turned back to face Spottedkit. "Well," She began, her voice slightly louder so that she could hear, "Would you like to see the kits?"

"No," Spottedkit meowed, pushing past Russetleap and her mate to the back of the nursery.

Scarletfeather nodded. "Ill get a patrol out." She meowed

"Because they will be so mad at me and question me why I came back." Cricketpaw meowed.

Rootclaw remained in front of the entrance so that Spottedkit couldn't run out, though as she backed into him, he decided not to push her back but instead let her cower below his large frame if she wished. He knew it was hard for her, but she had to come around to it on her on terms. "Come on, little mouse," He whispered, bending down to touch his nose to the tip of her ear. "I know you can do better than that."

Russetleap watched her older kit, heart broken. It was painful to watch her run away from her own family. Why is it that Cinderkit is more excited than you? She thought, glancing between her brother and kit.

Brighteyes twitched her whiskers to show Scarletfeather that she had heard from where she sat. "Good luck..." She mewed softly, doubting the return of their leader.

Cardinalswipe sighed softly, watching Cricketpaw. "They are only apprentices, and they are out of place," He reminded him, "They are also out of the right place of mind. I am sure, that if you explain your position, they will oblige."

Koipaw padded aimlessly through the forest, thinking of his sister. She wouldn't leave me... He thought, his heart lurching once more in his chest. Would she? Why would she leave me? The thought of his missing sister had been too much to bare, that he had put his own training on hold in order to search for her. Of course, she hadn't been found, and the Clan had decided that she and three others had been attacked and killed. Koipaw had refused to believe it, and instead kept searching. Why do I feel so hollow? He thought bitterly, tears beginning to sting his eyes. Before he knew it, his paws had lead him to the training hollow, where he watched two younger apprentices. Brother and sister... He thought with a sigh, remembering how he and his sister would train together, just like that, when they were young. Quickly he wiped away any evidence of emotion, and padded in. "Are you going to stand there and taunt each other all day, or are you actually going to do something?" He mumbled, leaping up onto a half rock, warm from the receding sun.

Cricketpaw nodded and stepped out. He saw Yuccapaw.

Spottedkit shook her head. "If I don't wanna I don't have to."

Scarletfeather glanced at Rootclaw. hurry up!

Cardinalswipe decided to stay behind the bush, just in case two cats would scare the apprentices off.

Yuccapaw had known that there was something, or someone, in the bush just behind her. The wind was still, so the rustling of the leaves, and soft murmurs were not of its doing. Greypaw had already left to search for prey, so in the time that it had taken the cat to come out, Yuccapaw lay in the grass, her muscles tense and ready to spring. "Cricketpaw!" She gasped, leaping to her paws with wide eyes. "What are you doing here?!"

Rootclaw sighed, nudging the kit softly, "No," He agreed, "But sometimes you have to do what is right, even if that means that you don't want to do it." He had only just gotten his sentence out, before he heard his name from the clearing. "I have to go," He told the kit, "Be brave." And with that, he bounded out of the nursery and toward Scarletfeather. "Yes?" He mewed questioningly, traveling up the slight slope to meet the deputy.

Cricketpaw forced a small smile. "I know what I did was wrong, scaring you off." He meowed, "I didn't tell Darkstar."

"We are going to find Darkstar." Scarletfeather meowed.

Spottedkit forced herself. She didn't want to see them.

Fireleaf bounded towards her, his smile so big it felt as if it'd split his lips. He hadn't had this much fun in ages, not since his sister had started following Thorntail around as soon as they became apprentices, and since his brother had made other friends. It was good to start living a life of his own, and to stop depending on his siblings. As he got closer to her, he leaped into the air, and landed just to her side as if to scare her, and make a big splash. "Got cha!" He mewed happily, nudging her with his shoulder.

Yuccapaw immediately shrunk back, scared. Anyone would swear that she had seen a fox, or maybe even a badger from her reaction. But it wasn't those creatures that haunted her dreams, no, not even the twolegs, it was this cat, and the disapproval of her Clan Mates. "H-How am I supposed to believe you?" She replied, her heart lurching with fear. She would try to defend herself, but she lacked the courage from his sudden appearance. Oh, if only it was a rogue hiding in the bush, not him!

Rootclaw looked surprised, but nodded, not daring to disagree with her. "Just us?" He asked nonchalantly, wondering whether she was planning on bringing anyone else along, or if she was happy with just him.

Russetleap sighed, wrapping her tail tighter around her stomach. She knew that Spottedkit didn't want to see them, so she wouldn't make her, not yet. "Come here," She mewed softly, motioning with her head to a small, warm spot between herself and Thorntail. "You've had a big day, it's time to rest."

Spottedkit nodded, she laid down where she was told too.

Scarletfeather shook her head. "No." She meowed. "Who do you want to bring?"

Cricketpaw flicked his tail, moting for his brother to come out.

Firefly jumped in fright. "Hey!" She laughed.

Russetleap lay her chin on her growing kit's body, and closed her eyes, tired from the kitting, and everything that followed.

Rootclaw shrugged, looking around at the surrounding cats, "I don't know." He replied eventually, "Anyone will do."

Cardinalswipe listened as Yuccapaw questioned his brother, and then watched as Cricketpaw called him forward. He wasn't sure that it was the best time, though did so, anyway. He watched as Yuccapaw's eyes grew even wider than before, and as she managed to shrink down to the size of a kit, scared for her life. "There's no one else." He mewed gently, trying to show her that it was ok. "We've come to take you home."

Slowly standing up again, Yuccapaw glanced between both brothers, although her mew was quiet and scared, her mind blazed with fury. "I have not home!" She replied, narrowing her eyes on Cricketpaw, "You made that very clear."

Fireleaf purred, "Oh, I'm sorry..." He replied sarcastically, nudging her again.
