I've been working in values of balloon dogs, toxics, sorbets & nons mostly, so perhaps trying to use pets like that will help (like you have done in the above gap section). So I have been operating under the assumption that sorbet = 2 green toxes, green toxic = 2 balloon dogs, balloon dog = 3 blue roses, blue rose = 3 grinners, grinner = 2 mid advents. This means a lot of things can be worked out in terms of balloon dogs (or advents if you want to go down that far). While it's great to know the gap between a pet and the pet below it, having some smaller pets used as a base so "math" can be applied may be helpful (although this is really just a step away from the point idea).
You could always have a mid advent = 1 point and work from there. It wouldn't apply well to the advent list, but above that it should apply nicely (though get rather large). Alternatively, to prevent large numbers from happening, a mid advent could be a copper point, and say a balloon dog could be a silver point, and a sorbet could be a gold point. That way you wouldn't get enormous numbers up the top of the list, and would just need a quick little guide saying how many copper = silver = gold. That may be too complicated for the users that don't have the patience to bother reading the front page, but if this is for users who are prepared to do the math I'm not sure that matters?
One other thing I'd like to bring up, is the UR Fruits. The rerelease seemed to flood the market with cucumbers, but I saw very, very few grapes released. I am still seeing cucumbers floating around every whichway so I still feel the fruits need to be looked at. Right now it seems the rares list guide is the only thing keeping the cucumber's price so high; there's a lot of supply for a fruit, and almost no demand. Meanwhile I don't remember when I last saw grapes floating about. Either way I see a lot more cucumbers than bananas about so I don't think they belong on the same line anymore. The last rerelease did some funky things to the UR pets.
Re the Joker and BA; the BA is still very volatile. I've been offered a CEG for mine twice over 2011/2012. I was offered an UR Malk for one earlier this year. I've seen it go for a Purple Toxic once, and quite a few have gone for a Sorbet. But I've also seen it go for its value, it had a huge slump back to Rares List value around late 2011/early 2012 I think it was. I don't know why but it never seems to settle. The Joker seems to go for a GWJ or so last time I looked, but I don't really track its value. It's not really consistently placed in regards to the BA though; BA is an advent rarity pet, Joker is a September rarity pet. If BA is sitting on the Sept list, Joker should probably lower down the main list? People are going to overpay for it anyway. Shove it with Non Balloon and people might start paying Sorbets for it instead of Nons. I understand that idea is all kinds of wrong though, it's not how the list is supposed to work. But frankly those pets don't work on the list no matter where you put them =P
