Damon snorted softly. It made sense, but somehow it just seemed like a fairytale. Looking down at their hands and Charlie himself he couldn't help but to feel a flood of emotions- anxiety, love, joy, infatuation, and tender just to name a few. "When do you know if you've found your true love?" he asked as he looked down between them.

Elliot thought about what Marx had said. He picked a few pieces of grass from the ground beside him and ripped them apart. "Yeah, I don't either," he replied at last, tone of voice sounding slightly defeated.

"Some say it's the spark of warmth one feels when looking into another's eyes for the first time. For other's it's love at first sight. Then there's me who knows nothing of real love but feels like it was just meant to be." Charlie says.

"Did something happen to your family?" Marx asks softly, keeping his eyes on his dogs.

Elliot shrugged. "Yeah, but that was a while ago. I'm not too bothered by it now," he replied, but his quoted voice said otherwise.

"When someone you love is lost it never goes away. it always hurts. It's a hole in your heart that makes it hard to breathe. It's the pain that makes you cry until there are no tears left to cry. It's sleepless nights and hating yourself for every time you didn't take some advice to heart, every time they look at what you've done and shook their heads . . ." Marx shakes his head. "If the pain subsides even for a while you feel guilty for forgetting them. Feeling that it's somehow your fault they're gone."

Elliot looked down at the ground, nodding slowly. "Yeah," he mumbled, blinking his hazel eyes with a small sigh. "Yeah, you're right,"

Marx runs his fingers through his hair. "Great, I've totally depressed you, good job Marx."

Marx looks at him, surprised, "Really?"

(It's okay, not thinking about it helped but my grades suffered afterward and I got really addicted to Chicken Smoothie.)
