What are Emyriches?

Emyriches are large docile creatures that inhabit the large, mystical island of Emyr. The emerge from their leafy lairs at dusk and are active for most of the night and morning. A colony of Emyriches is a tightly knit community, mostly consisting of a couple families. They are very social but completely silent as they lack mouths. They communicate through the bells on their tails which are also completely silent to the average human ear. The Emyriches pick up these signals through their large rabbit like ears and then respond is necessary. How do they eat? Well, they use the colorful pads on their feet to absorb nutrients from plants. This doesn’t harm the plant.
They are the size of a small horse when full grown. Females are slightly taller than males and are usually the ones that lead the colonies. Males mark territories and guard if they have to. Their only means of self defense are their size and small claws on their hind feet.
At two years old, a cub will receive a wrap. This wrap will be their first and probably last. The parent either make it or hire someone to. This band displays the cubs personality and where they stand in the colony. Females wear them on one of their front legs and males on one of the back. The wraps can be vibrantly colored and intricate but usually match the eyes and paw pads of the cub. They stand out from the naturally colored coat of the Emyrich.

It means an elf army, or warrior.

Reason for the name:
When I saw his wrap, I thought of him to be a warrior among warriors. He seemed quite magical and able to do anything. Someone that was trustworthy and dependable. Alvar just seemed to click with him.

Personality:
Daring and brave - Alvar is able to do anything most of the others can't, or at least tries to. He's always willing to try new things and going first for anything dangerous. He doesn't fear... many things.

Protective - He protects anything and anyone close to him dearly. He risks his life for anybody he knows, especially those who depend on him. Alvar would even offer his life to save others.

Curious - Although he is already an adult, Alvar is still curious about many things in the world. He wonders about many things and still, like children do, get close with new things to observe and examine them.

Leader - Alvar is capable of leading others into battle, or anything. He is responsible for his actions and for his people, and he would never turn against them at any time.

Saulis

saulis is a clever fellow and knows the woods like the back of his tail. He is also under standing and calm although he can snap sometimes. Saulis has a soft spot of the sick and injured or children and will often help them when the are in need.
