[Chii-sai]

I chose Brightheart, because not only do her name and mentality take a 180 turn, but she's also physically transformed- into a "monster", or so a few told her. And the more they told her, the more she began to believe.

In the first picture, she's depicted as a kit, with her brother Thornkit-Thornclaw. Though she's not mentioned often, I always saw her as a typical kit: a ball of energy ready to spring into mischief. Her adventure with Swiftpaw proves this as she becomes an apprentice, but this also makes her change- for better or for worse?

For better, definitely.

Half of her face is left scarred, she looses an eye completely, and all hope of becoming a warrior is dashed. And to throw her into more misery, she's given a terrifying name, Lostface, by the crazed Bluestar. Though we don't often see her behavior when others cringe at the site of her face, it's all too apparent what goes through her mind.

Once you're told something enough, you start to believe it.

Lostface believed she was a monster. That nothing would ever love her again. That if she had her own kits, the didn't dare picture their reactions when they first open their eyes.

Lostface's relentless and tough attitude shattered to pieces. The young cat, barely to warrior age, was broken.

But all was not lost. There was at least one cat in the world who could see behind the scars and find the cat that once brightened up the clan. And he didn't give up on her.

Slowly yet surely, Lostface became bright, once again. Even after her name was changed back to Brightheart, she feared the cringes and mewls of surprise, but was loved dearly by her friends, mate and lovely daughter.

Though Brighthearts physical transformation might have made her feel like a monster, it truly helped her find her bright heart.

That's all up for debate. Some say she did, others didn't. This original artwork depicts her with both ears still in tact. Her eye color is also amber, but that is also up for debate. One thing about the warriors world- almost nothing is definite. Characters change genders, eye colors and appearances in more books than one, so I'll interpret it my way, and I'll leave you to your thoughts.
