I understand that lists already consider demand, but I also understand that regardless of what the list says, there are some pets that are more sought after/easier to trade than others. With the said...which of these would be my best bet for moving my way up the lists? Or should I wait for a 'better' offer?

It really depends on the person you're trading with, because there's not really an exact number set.
Some might want 20, some might want more, so I suggest asking people you want to trade with c:
