but there's no way i'll ever be able to get one legally unless i find a road kill or naturally dead kitty [since i could never skin one of my own] and every dead cat you can find around here is either rendered flat and broken beyond repair or devoured within a night

Okay I realize I am essentially giving up my online badge of honor for saying this, but...
The Warriors series.
Okay, cool, I liked it when I was seven. And it's a cool idea, cats and stuff. And I don't mean to be a book snob, but...
... it's ...
... terrible. Badly written, awful plots, just in general an all-out makes-me-cringe sort of a thing. You can like it if you want. But ugh, I just cannot deal with those books. I don't know what it is, the whole "oh the first seventeen thousand series were successful so I'm going to make eighty more", or the phrases and words you can find twice a page, like "padded over" or "ducked his head" or "flicked his tail" or "the light shined in his eyes" or "mischievous".
I don't hold anything again the people who like them. They can go ahead and do that. But personally, once the cats started seeing ghosts and having magical powers, I gave it up. And when the bears came- and now dogs...
I should be quiet now.

and so many things are way overused in the series, the whole ~forbidden mates~ thing being an example.

I loved the first series. It was fresh, new, and really interesting. It had abit of mystery with the StarClan and such, but other than that, it was semi-realistic. Then they got superpowers and dead cats coming back and.. i just. Stopped. Id just rather pretend it got cut off at the end of Darkest Hour, and they all lived happily ever after. :I

But, cats are overpopulated anyway. It's not going to hurt anything. So, I mean...Yeah. I wouldn't want one myself, but I mean, the whole 'save the blahblahblah' thing is old.

it's their hobby okay no need to freak out about it. they didn't ask for opinions on "should i get a cat pelt".

they're not talking about COATS by the way. they're talking about PELTS. you know, rugs, taxidermy. stuff like that.'

plus fake pelts aren't the same and they're bad for the environment.

Don't get me wrong, I like cats. I have two; both are fixed. But they are seriously overpopulated, and I mean, yeah..
