Silent Night

Silent nodded as the dragon spoke. Her eyes were glinting with tears. The female's voice must be soft, Silent concurred. The lip movements were subtle, maybe a little uncomfortable, and they were quiet and almost smooth. The voice must also be quite melodic. Thank you she morsed. You don't know how much that means to me. Your voice is beautiful.

Thyla nodded, putting her paw over her muzzle, her way of showing that she was honestly flattered.
"Mind if I talk in morse again? It just feels better. It's easier for me."
Thyla turned around, toward the scent of some food.
Let's get something to eat now. she morsed.

Go ahead, Silent approved. She watched as the dragon switched back to morse. The question made her own stomach grumble, although Silent was oblivious to the sound. Yes, let's. Know any good places?

I don't actually know, but I can smell something like ice cream ahead.
Thyla stuck her nose in the air and sniffed. She stood up on tip-toes and took an even bigger sniff.
Oh, the things she could smell! Her nose took in the blueberry-like blue smell, tasting like blueberries, then the silver
of the metal. Cold and tangy, smelling slightly of rust.
I think you could say it's in sight, I'm not sure. It should have a blue top, metal and sweet smelling...

Ice cream, Silent tapped, unsure of how to aid in walking beside Thyla. She didn't want the jewlie to think she was being stereotypical and treating her differently, but she didn't want Thyla to think she was oblivious to it. She was unsure, so she walked beside her normally.

Thyla felt Silent tap lightly, thinking about what flavor she should get. Probably some orange. Maybe snickerdoodle.
Can you see it? she asked Silent. Her taps were slightly nervous, as if she was a bit worried. What flavor are going to get?

Silent Night

Yes, we are almost there, she tapped quietly, walking near to Thyla and making sure they got there alright. Once in line, next being their turn, Silent tapped I think I'll get caramel.
Then suddenly, Silent realized that it would be their turn. She couldn't speak, she couldn't speak at all. She had to get Thyla to ask. Her shyness crept in and she clutched the little ocarina she hid in her fur.
Mind if you order for me? We're next, she asked.

She came to the stand. She tilted her face up to the vendor jewlie.
"Err, I'd like to get two ice creams. Can I get one caramel and on orange please?"
Her voice frightened herself a little. It was a bit... too soft.
But to her surprise the dragon put the cones on the table.
Here they are. The total was two dollars. Thyla took out eight quarters from the
little bag she kept in her mane.

Thanks, typed Silent, picking up her ice cream and waiting for her friend. Yes, friend. It was the longest conversation she'd ever had with anyone. She continued. Let's sit. There's a chair directly to your right, she said, helping Thyla with her ice cream.

Thyla turned to her right, then felt the cold metal in her paws.
The metal was fringed with frost where her paws had just touched it. Thank you very much, Silent.
Silent was the first dragon who actually acknowledged her, knew her, but then didn't worry about her.
Thyla sat in the chair, feeling the cold metal under herself. She pulled her paws up then crouched on
the chair. May I have my ice cream now?
