I literally am a delinquent to my public library. Because when I do go down there, I check out like 15 books, and probably return them a day late - that's $1 per book, PER late day. I have a block on my account, and can't check books out again until I pay - which I probably won't be doing any time soon ):

*pouts* Please someone say the same thing happens to them so I can feel a bit better about myself XD

Oh well. I guess I can always make a new account and start out fresh XD

I had some books that took me three years to return! The teen section of our library seems to be 1/2 empty and of the remaining books, about half of them are rubbish (generally vampire diaries type stuff) so I cannot get anything, as in our lilbrary until you are eighteen or something ridiculous, you can't even get non fiction out! I had my birthday yesterday, so I was given a lot of money, and 'the host,' by Stephenie Meyer, does anyone know any good books?
I was on the game a year or so ago, I have come back to you all though! I will have to make a new sig at some poin.

You can't take out non-fiction? What, have they never heard of school projects? Or, Heaven forbid kids read something ... oh, gosh, educational! Lol, seriously, though, that's insane.

I'm on a semi-hiatus, but would be willing to come back
full time for a good RPG.
I'll look at anything, but I prefer
animals, and I won't do Hunger Games/Divergent, anything
supernatural, or anything where the main point is romance.
I've done Warrior cats and Camp Half-Blood RPGs quite a
few times, including hosting my own on another site, but I
would prefer not to do either of those RPGs again. I might
instead be interested in a Hogwarts RPG, or maybe something
based in WW1 or WW2. I'm probably semi-literate, but please,
nothing below that. (And I like RPing male characters, if
you're in need of any.)

So, have an RPG suggestion? Or maybe a trade? Or just
wanna message me? Please, don't hesitate! (;

Yup. Apparently it's so adults don't get out books on their children's cards for them to dodge library fines. So now, kids get out books on their parent's cards, and rack up huge library fines - great plan :x . Seeing as no new books seem to be coming in, I have to know the names of the books I want to read so I can order them :/

At my library if they don't have the book your looking for, they will ask you if you want them to buy it.
I love it when they do that haha ^^

SOMEONE MY AGE WHO ACTUALLY READS NONFICTION FOR FUN...!

you are officially mah book buddy.

you are quite right; i loved her explanation of introversion and its misconceptions c: turns out i'm not as introverted as i thought though i am most definitely not an extrovert. and daniel pink is kinda epic.

Yay, book buddies. :) And other good nonfiction you'd recommend?

Not having a good library near me sounds awful. We have a huge library system where I live, and if they don't have a book at one library, you can have it delivered there from another library in the system. In the summer I just order 15 books at a time and pick them up at the nearest library. It's pretty great :) They also have a reading program during the summer, which I get to volunteer at now that I'm in high school. I don't normally buy very many books, but I've been getting more recently, because I'm afraid of our local Barnes & Noble going out of business, and I love that place.

I feel your pain. That happens to me all the time. I think on my current books I'm about two weeks overdue, and thank God they don't charge $1 a day, but it's still expensive.

I'm out of books again. And I have no spare time until May anyway. At least we're reading Taming of the Shrew in class. That kind of makes up for it, but the class is not familiar with Shakespeare so it's slow progress.

I lose library books. They'll just be at home, and then WHAM! they've disappeared off the face of the Earth. And of course, they're always expensive hard-cover books.
