I agree on the "equimagine was well-liked before the tracing thing came up" statement. She was pretty friendly on the forums from what I saw, and she even made a joke out of the fact that her first newborn pony lineart looked like roadkill--by releasing a roadkill pet for Halloween rather than sulking or something xD Points for her in that area~

You know I am glad for the change but I was growing REAL tired of SO many people bashing Equimagine with every other remark. And these are the exact same people that would scream in all caps that those who didn't like the changes and the new lines were putting down the artists and blah blah blah. It seemed so hypocritical.

My point is ... that I am very happy to see nickjr post this. It is nice to see something a lil positive in all this. I was not around when the tracing was found, and I certainly don't want CS to tolerate art theft... but I really felt aweful for her and the way people were talking about her... and this is a few years later. I can only imagine the mess it was at the time.

I think it was partly because of the posts which had been trying to bring up the issue of the theft things were being deleted in order to protect equimagine; as the staff would do for anyone on this site which is good. They didn't want a witch hunt starting over something they had tried to fix and stuff so when it got brought up it was removed (at least best I can tell from having read a ton of posts)

I agree though that the posts on both sides were getting rather harsh during these things, even now that the change is going through lol there is no pleasing everyone

Actually, there are a lot of people that are not too fond of them. Many say their stance is strange, or their eyes are big, or they are too feminine. I actually like them. They look so different from the realistic 'normal' horses... it is really nice to see something with such personality.

On another note, I am not crazy about the pegacorn. I am not sure why though. It looks "off" somehow. But it seems that the majority of people really like it.

I have said many times... my heart is for the donkeys. I don't want them to look plain and pony-like. I really want them to have as much personality or more than the unicorns. I check every day to see if they have changed. I know they will most likely be changed to Yul's ponyish donkey lines, but I am really hoping that enough people care about them that CS will consider something else for them. That is what happened with the RBM... but then again.. it is very rare and people really like them. People don't feel the same way about donkeys.... and well....the majority rules I guess.

As far as I can tell, most people are quite happy with the already-existing Yulyhn donkey lines and several actively want the old donkeys moved to those lines (if they can be found). It's not so much "Eh, it's just the donkeys; who cares what they look like" as "Yay, now the donkeys will be on the really cute lines that I like!" Might be just me, but that's my overall impression. :3 I for one would be kind of disappointed if the donkeys weren't put on the current Yulyhn lines, although that might have to happen if the old ones really are lost.
