Rootclaw, he knew that she knew full well what he was talking about. "Seriously Spottedkit," He pleaded, his gaze so soft that even a badger would fall into his trap. "You really need to do this..."

Spottedkit let her head drop onto her paws. She really had no clue. She was having so much fun, she even forgot Russetleap was her mother!

Rootclaw sighed once more, gently pressing his muzzle to her neck fur. "You need to go see the kits." He prompted gently, hopping that she wouldn't run away again, and that this time, she wouldn't mind doing so.

Spottedkit lifted her head. "But I don't wanna!"

"I know," He soothed, wrapping his tail around the base of her body, "But sometimes, as a warrior, we need to do things that we don't want to. We have to put the Clan before ourselves."

Spottedkit held back a tear. "But-But"

Rootclaw need only guess the pain she was in. He knew that feeling, not over a litter of kits, but of things much worse; things that one day, she may have to face. Most would be excited about siblings, But I guess, Spottedkit is that one exception... He sighed, slowly getting to his paws. I can only imagine what her mentor will have to go through... Pain struck his heart at the thought of his own apprentice, Greypaw. The mangy furball was one of the most obnoxious cats he had ever met, but he still felt bad, since he had wondered off. Many had thought that both he and his companion had been killed, but no one knew the truth. Shaking his head, as if to bring him back to the situation at hand, Rootclaw looked down at the small kit. "I know," He whispered, softly nudging her in the direction of the nursery, "But you need to do this. I'll be with you the whole time."

Cricketpaw stopped. They had been travling for moons and finally found Greypaw and Yuccapaw! He watched trhough the bushes.

Spottedkit winched as he pushed her into the nursery.

Cardinalswipe ducked low behind the bush, glancing sideways at his brother, Cricketpaw, as he watched the two missing apprentices. They had both grown, their muscles more prominent from their journey, almost completely unrecognizable. Their pelts were unkept, and the scent of the Clan had vanished completely. Time to get you home... He thought stubbornly.

Yuccapaw lay silently, her eyes closed as she rested, though ears pricked. She had gotten herself into a habit of staying aware, even while they were sleeping. They last thing they wanted was to be attacked by a rogue, or even a fox.

Once they pushed their way in, Rootclaw stood near the entrance, making sure that if she tried, Spottedkit wouldn't be able to get out. "Go on," He nudged her encouragingly, "It'll be ok."

Spottedkit was pushed into Russetkeaps nose as Rootclaw pushed her too far. "Hi, Russetleap.."

Cricketpaw watched. "We have to get them." He whispered, rustling the bushes.
