What's wrong with using faces like those to express your emotions? On a place like the internet where tone is so hard to convey, there's nothing wrong with a cute emote or two. I don't really understand why that's suddenly become such a taboo thing.

look i was just saying that i don't like using them. they're kind of annoying to me. i'd explain why but it's kind of hard to. it has to do with the way my mind works, alright? they're just not... fitting, i guess.

People who complain about their art.

Seriously, every time I see someone say "oh all my art sucks, it looks like a five year old drew it" I just want to say "okay, if that's what you think".
I don't feel sympathy that easy.
People who complain about their art are just begging for attention, in my opinion.

I honestly don't feel this way with a lot of my art. I never have.
Even when my anatomy was way off, I still liked it, and later saw how I could improve it.
Looking back at my drawings from Kindergarten, I say "wow, I've improved a lot since".
I'm proud of everything I draw, I don't regret any drawing I do.
I just wish other people would feel that way.

What annoys me even more than this is the people who are obviously not beginners, and know it.
They complain and say every drawing of theirs looks like a five year old drew it.
Excuse me? How about you take a look around and see you're at a higher level than everyone, come back, and be proud of a damn art piece for once.

I do but not because I want attention but because I don't think it's even good.

We talked about the Boston explosions today in Sociology. Half my class laughed when the news item said that people lost their limbs, and others died. Seriously, you people are heartless and insane. >.>
