I'm sure you've heard about the bombings in Boston...looking at this from a runner's perspective really is even more devastating, to feel that sense of accomplishment at the end only to have your entire life changed forever when you cross the finish line. My sympathies for the runners, their friends, and their families.

My thoughts exactly. Finishing a marathon is a huge achievement any runner should be proud to aspire for, and especially to complete. I can't imagine.
I was about to make a announcement about this...I know many of you may not believe in God, but for those of you who do, please pray for all those affected by this bombing. As runners, we all know how it feels at the end of a race, a marathon, no less. When you near the finish line, you're exhausted and excited at the same time. Many of these runners may have been sprinting to the finish. Some of these runners have lost their legs and will never be able to run again. Three have lost their lives. It saddens me to think that something like this could happen. Keep Boston in your hearts runners!

I do believe in God in fact and today I wore purple to school to support them all. I don't understand how anyone can do such a thing. Truly I don't... But if this brings as much sorrow into your hearts as mine, just imagine they run across the finish line into Jesus's arms... Which I know is what happened.. HE was there and HE always will be..

That's really good to hear.

Depends. The 100/110 is a short burst of running and thinking. The 300 is a test of your endurance.
It looks fun, but it's a damn lot of thinking. Like distance, for example (as my friends tell me) is just thinking about pacing and making sure you stay on point with people but hurdling is more counting steps, making sure your form is correct (or risk a painful splat on the ground).
