It kinda does when you have to live with them for 18-19 years and they may or may not monitor what you watch.
It really stinks when they find out you like something they deem "dumb" and tease you about it non stop.

Yes. Your parents shouldent care what you like, they should love you for who you are. But sometimes some parents can be a bit, well, opinionated. In my case, It's my grandparents who I don't want to find out, because as much as I love them, they are very opinionated people, so I have decided not to tell neither my mum or my grandparents.
