Myuflc nodded and pointed his port wing to a small hollow that wasn't lit. "That should be it. Probably reading in the dark. I'm Myuflc by the way, Navigation ryb. Have a nice night!" He called as he lifted into the wind to glide to the dining hollow for a drink."

"Bye!" Aquila called. He flew out of his hollow into the cool night air, then turn starboard toward the hollow Myuflic had pointed out. He landed on a branch outside. "Emerald?" he called hesitantly.

There was a startled squeak a she fell onto her book, she flew up on a perch and looked at te owl outside her hollow, still crying softly she tipped her head. "Aquila...? What are you doing here?" She lighted down on the floor an lot her candles, hoping to make we small hollow a bit more friendly.

"well, you did kinda fly off," Aquila said.

She looked away wishing there was somewhere to hide, preferably the wing of her Da. "I.... I did, didn't I..."

[~ mew ~]

'I was just wondering why,' Aquila said, concerned.

[Falkenfire]

Emerald slowly hid her head under his wing, crying softly until she could gather her courage to speak. "My Mum killed my Da the night I arrived here... And I...... I killed my Mum in rage...."

[~ mew ~]

'That's awful,' Aquila said. He pulled her closer. 'I mean, not what you did. That was the best thing to do. She probably would've come after you next.'

Emerald nuzzled into his feathers a bit closer. She slowly stopped crying and looked up at him. "You mean it? I'm not a monster...?" She shivered. "But... What if her friends are after me... What if I've endangered everyone.....? She looked down and started crying again.

Myuflc lighted down next to the queen, giving a slight bow. "Your highness... Is everything alright?"

'You're not a monster. And we're already in danger. The Pure Ones are back,' Aquila replied.
