Nightrose
Nightrose ran deeper into unknown territory, her paws leading her to an unknown path.
She was getting closer, she knew it.
Her green eyes darted around as she was swallowed by a dark forest. The branches knotted together, allowing no sunlight through. The trees seemed to close in on her, clustered close together. She could feel eyes under her pelt and began to push her self faster. Letting her paws fly across the ground, her longish fur felt like silk against her body. Wind whistled in her ears, deafening her. She was about to launch herself into the air when she tripped of a root. Her body crashed to the ground, rolling over black thorns.
I'm falling downhill! she thought, panicked. She slid down the hill, thorns attaching to her pelt, branches swinging into her face and other things making her way down extremely painful. She slid into a clearing full of light; branches didn't knot above here.
Blood stained her dark pelt, she saw a small pond and was grateful for the lush grass under paw. She shook her self free of the clinging debris. Some thorns pricked her skin and leaves still fastened themselves to her fur. She sighed and ripped the thorns off, them leaving a painful, stinging place where she ripped them. she walked into the water, cleaning her self. She was almost out of the forest... and the mountains. She began to trot away from the water and she escaped them into green, lush forest. The sun glared into her eyes here and dapple the ground. Nightrose noticed she was on a path that could hold 5 wolves wide... Ahead, not far away, the ground dived down. From her position, she felt like she was looking over a map of some sort. She's seen one in her land. She walked slowly towards the cliff. She immediately found the ocean, miles and miles and miles away. It was just so huge...
Forests spotted here and there, lakes and rivers leading toward the watering mass... She could see everything from here!
She looked to her right and saw a paw leading down.
" I'm finally here. " she sighed.
She had reached her place of perfections.
She would find out what it held.
Nightrose finally, after so many years, found the land where oceans were real and not the harsh, unforgiving mountains.
For the first time ever, she felt like she was at...
