Well, it's long-ish. I'll post the first part and if you people like I'll post the second.^_^ Please try to visualize it as an anime/manga xD I put a lot of detail so it's easier to picture it.
The dusk fell in tones of violet and crimson, and the shadows grew around the Lake. The first stars were reflected by its perfectly still waters, like diamonds against the darkening sky. There was no wind, no bird’s song to be heard. The cherry flowers fell silently to the lake, in a rain of rosy petals. Silence was so deep it could almost be touched, yet it was fragile, constantly under the threat of shattering with sounds.
In the middle of the lake, there stood a black marble pillar, solemnly alone in the nightfall, and a silvery sphere lay atop it, involved by a thin, dark veil. Inside the sphere, mist swirled and assumed indecipherable shapes. The tattered veil flapped like a huge bat’s wing, though there was no wind.
Suddenly, the sphere gleamed harder, projecting beams of liquid silver all over the landscape, and emitted a pure, crystalline sound, as if it were a bell. Then, cracks started appearing on its surface, with small vapor clouds seeping through them. The light intensified, turning night into day, and projecting harsh contrasts on the scenery. With a mute explosion, the sphere shattered onto a shockwave that hit all things near like a wall of rock.
In the lake’s margins, a young girl was knocked off her feet, falling on her back over the pebble shores. Tears streamed down her cheeks, and her icy eyes showed an expression of absolute terror. Her name was Kuniko, and she was one of the last who knew the secret of the Lake of Dust. She understood what she saw, and even if she knew she had to warn the Elders, she couldn’t but stare into the empty black pillar and the torn veil. The stars glowed harder in the sky, but their light did nothing to comfort Kuniko. She knew what was happening. The dreaded day had come.
As if the column was attracting them, the pebbles on the margins started to slowly levitate. They only lifted a few inches from the ground, but that was enough for Kuniko. She stood up, swatting one of them back down, her eyes wide open. The tears had stopped – now there was only fear. She had to leave quickly, but she feared to turn her back to the Lake of Dusk.
‘The end began.’ She whispered, right after setting off as fast as her feet would allow her.
