hope im not posting my (very) short story too late.
story:
So, first of all, heres something you should know about him. in his world, the main race, like the humans, are basically small cats with wings. not really a particular species, just small cats with wings. they thrive in a large area of land, representing the Earth, but the rest of the planet is the known univere. all his companions are those winged cats. but i thought about it, and decided to connect Time Lords with MC's. Time Lords have two hearts. Marble Cats have two tails. I decided that his two tails would be like the Time Lords having two hearts. So in that land, a Marble Cat could be a Time Lord, but of course MC's from the rest of the world that they might meet or come here are just marble cats, but not particularly Time Lords.
The Doctor stared up at the large screen in front of him. A part of the galaxy was displayed on it, showing millions of stars and swirls of beautiful, purple and pink gas extending their wispy fingers across space. A cat standing next to him commented that it looked as if nothing was wrong; and indeed, it looked as if nothing was wrong. But the Doctor knew better. He explained that there was something else hidden beneath the transmission they were seeing and pressed a few buttons with his fingered paws. Then, like magic, the image hidden from the world appeared before them. The brown cat stared at the spacecraft: a large disc-shaped ship, similar to the classic UFO, with spherical compartments on the wings.
"Those ships... That race was supposed to be dead. My... people... died for nothing."
"What are they?"
"Daleks." Inside, he was devastated. His race died to get rid of these things, and left him alone, surviving only with the knowledge that he is needed for there to be order in the universe.. Left to be alone for the rest of his life. But he had to stay calm. If he broke down in front of these cats they would definitely know the Daleks are something to fear. For if he, the Doctor, was afraid...!
Suddenly, the screen changed. Instead of an entire Dalek fleet of 200 ships they were looking at the inside of a Dalek spacecraft. Several of the robotic beings clustered together, and between them was a flash of golden fur. Rose! The Doctor's ears perked up as he saw a tiny smile appear on her nervous face as the pretty she-cat turned to him. A Dalek's vibrating, emotionless voice erupted from its metal body, the double lights on its head blinking brightly with each word.
"I will only speak to the Doctor."
"Oh, how nice. Hello there, hope my companion there isn't causing any trouble over there." Rose suppressed a giggle. The Doctor winked, and although he seemed fine, he was furious. But what he seemed to do when he was this angry was hide it, and replace it with a cheerful mask.
"The Dalek fleet will soon invade. And you will not get in our way." The Dalek slightly stretched out the "a" in its species name, as the Daleks commonly do.
"Oh? Well, how are you so sure?"
"We have your friend; do as we say or we will exteeerminate her."
"No."
"Explain the meaning."
"No."
"What does this mean?"
"The meaning is no."
"Then we will exterminate her!"
"No. Because I will save Rose from the you, and save the world from the Daleks, and then destroy every last one of your kind in this galaxy, just as you did to mine!"
(aaaaand a quote for the finale...!) "But you have no weapons! No defenses! No plaaan!"
"Yeah. And doesn't that scare you to death?" He then deftly pressed a single button, cutting off their connection with the Daleks, and began to work on a plan.
